"That's some nice shooting right there"

A voice from the distance stated. Kurt turned around to see Blaine, the boy chosen to compete for district ten. Kurt dropped his bow and bag of arrows on the ground and turned around.

"I practise a lot. Usually just squirrels and deer"

Blaine walked around and lent at the side of the target. Arms folded and a smug smile on his face.

"I've heard a lot about you. Apparently you're a shoe in to win this thing"

Kurt picked up his bow and sack of arrows again

"I try not to listen to things other people say, it puts me off"

Kurt grabbed an arrow from his bag and prepared it to be fired whereas Blaine didn't move an inch.

"You may want to move, I don't want to hit you"

He said as he pulled back the arrow, ready to fire but Blaine didn't even flinch.

"It's fine, I trust you completely. Always have"

Kurt showed no sign or lowering his guard, he even swerved the arrow in Blaine's direction a few times but he didn't budge.

"What are you talking about you idiot? I've known you for two days"

Kurt became irritated with Blaine and showed no mercy.

"You really don't remember me, do you Kurt?"

Kurt relaxed his arrow and looked towards Blaine, still lent against the target.

"Wait what?"

He said as he dropped his bow and arrows. Blaine walked up close to him, tension high in the air.

"You really don't remember me Kurt? Think back to when you were six, who was the bakers son that you would spend day after day with?"

Kurt looked to the floor, his brain flooding with memories of a painful childhood. Then he looked up to Blaine, his throat dry and heart beating a mile per minute.

"Blaine Anderson...No, it can't be"

Kurt was in complete denial...

"It's me alright..." Kurt couldn't believe it; he hadn't seen him for 12 years "What the hell happened to you?"

The smile was wiped off Blaine's face

"When my father was killed in these stupid games my family was moved to district ten because they needed the house for a new baker. I and my family had to go through hell thanks to these stupid games. Just because my farther failed doesn't mean I will. I'm winning this thing, no matter what the cost"

Blaine dashed for the door.

"Even if it meant killing me...?"

Blaine stopped at the door and sighed.

"I haven't seen you in over ten years. Why do I find it so hard to say yes to that question? Why the hell should I care about you when you couldn't even remember me?"

Kurt went up behind him and put one hand on his shoulder.

"Because whether you want to believe it or not I still mean something to you"

Blaine turned around to face Kurt, just inches away from him "You mean so much more to me..."

Kurt looked puzzled. "Wait wha-"

Blaine grabbed Kurt's face and their lips were met. The shock was too much for Kurt and he pulled away from Blaine.

"What the hell was that? One minute you're telling me how you were so pissed off about how I didn't remember you and next your trying to stick your tongue down my throat?"

Kurt said startled, barely being able to get his words together. Blaine ran through the doors and away from Kurt.

"Blaine wait!" Kurt may have been confused by Blaine's actions but he couldn't deny he felt something...
