Chapter 1
The Goddess
The flock watched her walk in with an awed look on their face. Angel whispered "Max is she a goddess? Like the kind that we read about in those Greek books?" Her eyes we're huge sausages, for she was stunned by the girl's beauty. Fang just stared. Max began to feel jealous that he was watching her like that. Iggy was getting frustrated. "What's going on?!? What's happening?" It was easy to forget that he was blind. Nudge, for the first time ever, was at a loss for words. Fang just continued to stare. Gassy's jaw dropped. So now both guys we're all gaga over her? Ugh. Max was irritated. Angel nudged her. "Max, her mind, its…well, blank! Not like Jeb's mind, but it's like she doesn't have a mind or thoughts!" Poor Angel! She was so confused! "Honey, I think she has her mind purposefully blocked." Angel looked at me. "Did the voice in you're head tell you that?" I felt the heat rush to my head. If that's not a weird question, I don't know what is. Fang, who had heard, cracked a small smile. But that smile vanished soon after it had appeared. His dark eyes we're unreadable, as always.

She was more beautiful than a goddess. I couldn't take my eyes off her. Max and the feelings I wasn't sure I had for her vanished. I fell madly in love with her. I could tell Gassy had a cute little crush on her too. But I had known Max since forever and he could tell she was green with envy. He knew she loved him. Or at least really really liked. He remembered the kiss. That had made him blush, to his horror. He did not love her the way she loved him, and he was worried about the outcome. He was, on the other hand, concerned when she fell to the ground whimpering in pain. She must have mistaken that for affection other than family affection. Uhoh. The girl blushed a beautiful crimson when she realized that all eyes where on her. She hurried to her seat just as class began. "Now class, it seems we have a new student. Please, stand and tell us a bit about yourself." She indicated towards the super incredible model girl.
"Uhm…my name is, um, Rebecca Amelia Cassandra Eaton. But that's just my full name; I prefer to be called Becca.
I come from Laval, Québec. I moved here for…personal reasons. I am 13 years old."
looked at her over her eyeglasses. "Please give three facts about yourself as well as 2 details about yourself, such as what your favorite color is."
"Oh…Um, ok then. I lived in Scarborough before I moved here. I enjoy…um… Skydiving? Oh wait no… I just like airplanes and stuff…just air in general." She blushed quite red. "Um…I live with my godmother Raechel. I like Cats and the color blue. Thank you." Becca rushed back to her seat, a lovely shade of crimson.
"HEY! YO GIRL!" called Josh, the rudest brute of the class. She looked up, startled.
"Me?" she asked.
"YEAH YOU!" He called.
"Is something the matter?"
"Why do you live with your godmother? Why can't you live with your parents?" He smirked.
"Uh…just leave me alone!" She ran out of the class, pain deep in her eyes. With my hawk eyes, I could see the shimmering tears in them. HOLD ON! BACK UP A FEW! Her eyes had been emerald green before. Now, a sapphire blue edged the emerald green. Blue…blue usually represented sad. She wasn't normal. She was a freak. Just like us.
