The Gift of Life

They lay on the leather couch in their living room, the lights turned way down low adding a calming effect to the scene. She was hovering over him, gently stroking his face, completely lost in the moment. He had his eyes closed, drowning in the sensation her delicate fingers were creating.

"I love you so much." It was a simple statement, yet meant the world to her. She said those words to other men before but with Chibs, everything was different. What he made her feel wasn't just love, it was something bigger, something beyond that. Over the last two years Filip Chibs Telford had become the reason of her existence.

She bent down and captured his lips in a soft, feather light kiss. He opened his eyes, revealing his whole soul to her. In moments like this he wished he could find the right words to tell her she was his reason of waking up in the morning. "I love you more." With her, words always fail him.

His statement made her chuckle and she bent down again, aching to taste him. The moment their tongues touched, an indescribable feeling washed over them and the whole world seemed to fade away. There was nothing rushed about the kiss, nothing frantic, nothing out of control. It was a slowly diving into each other sending every single nerve of their bodies on alert.

"Tara, luv." He tried to form a coherent thought between their kisses but failed miserably. She held his face in place and darted her tongue deeper into his mouth. It was like dying and being born again. The moment Tara grind her hips into him he knew it was time to hit the breaks. "Please, darling, we have to go." She sighed and laid her head on his chest, listening to his fast heart beating. His hands found their way to her back, stroking it lovingly and patiently waiting for her to get up.

"Okay, I'm ready." She reluctantly tore herself from his body and held out her hand to him. He took it eagerly, getting up and drawing her closer for one short kiss.

"Ya know, I still can't believe ya never did this before." She held onto his hand while dragging him out behind her.

"I know, right. I guess, I was just waiting for the right moment and the right person."
It was Valentine's Day and Filip and Tara Telford were about to make a true gift of the heart and donate blood.
