"Regina, I'm sorry." Emma said as soon as she entered the Mayor's office. "What are you sorry for, Miss Swan?" The brunette answered in her annoyed tone. "For saying the things I did during the Snow Queens curse." Regina's face fell as she remembered. "I understand why you did it." She simply said, never looking up at the blonde.

"One thing was true though." Emma said quietly. "Oh, and what would that be? That you knew it was Marian when you brought her back? I figured that out a long time ago, Miss Swan." Emma shook her head, a sad look crossing over her features.

"The fact about Hook being something to get you jealous." Emma whispered, avoiding the Mayor's eyes as they looked at her in surprise and wonder. Regina raised an eyebrow. "And why were you trying to get me jealous?"

Emma sighed. It was going to be now or never. She already had said this much. She couldn't back away now. She took a deep breath and chanced a glance at the beautiful woman, who was now stood a few feet away from her. "Because, Regina, I'm in love with you."

The brunette smiled surprised. "You do?" She asked. Emma nodded, looking away once more, as that was not the response she had hoped for. It was as if the Mayor found this funny, which made tears appear in the blonde's eyes.

"Tell me, Miss Swan, what is it that you 'love' about me?" The brunette asked curiously. She took a few steps closer to the blonde and took her hand in hers. "I love how beautiful you are, especially when you smile and how smart you are. I love the way you are when we are together, just you, Henry and me. I love your cooking." At that the brunette chuckled; the sheriff always loves her food. "I love the way you make me feel, like right now. I love your eyes. I love your –"

The brunette was blushing deeply. She quickly closed the small distance between herself and the sheriff and didn't hesitate to kiss her. "But mostly I love you for you." The blonde finished her little speech, before going back to kissing Regina. "That's great, because I love you too."

Emma smiles widely. "And just like that we both get what we've always wanted. You have your Happy Ending and I have the family I've been dreaming about for as long as I can remember; you, Henry and me."
