When she was a child, they saw him once, the pirate their mother always talked about. Little did they know this pirate was going to drag them to hell one day, and change their lives forever…
While the story starts before this day, our telling of this story will begin further in the continuity, for to start it earlier would mean for the story to lose its interest and suspense, and what is the point of a great pirate story if no one is interested in reading it? So thus the tale begins when two twins on a solemn and dark evening sat upon an old window ledge, and looking out upon the great open sea, only to wonder when their brother would come back. The pair had just returned from the grand event of their mother's funeral, and the world to them appeared as black as the garments they adorned. Grey and miserable, in a world of black and white, they longed for something or someone to wring out their sodden hearts and return them to a world of colour again. So there they sat at 18 years, as the boy hummed and the girl sang a tune which their brother had taught them many years prior.
"The day will come when pirates must die
When the humans control the gods of the sky
When the boatman of souls will be entrapped
Allowing the ghost of the past to come back
And a son and a lover go looking for death
While the boatman's heart will take her last breath
And the city of Outlaws be covered in fire
As the Empires power grows higher and higher
And the daemon will laugh as he tames the sea
And our only the hope the Sparrow of eternity"
At the same time as the twins utter this frightful tune, their older brother Will Turner III thinks back on the song, now beginning to learn the future its prophesising. He looks to his partner in crime, a woman much older than him of Spanish decent, who has a gleam of bitterness in her eye and a voodoo doll in her hands. They hide in the shadows, as they begin their plan to take over a pirate ship that once belonged to Blackbeard. They're not the only ones though, many miles across the sea, the British Navy also has a plan to take over multiple pirate ships, as they destroy yet another pirate cover, slowly dominating the waves for themselves once again. As all this goes on Will Turner screams in burning shackles, as Captain Salazar laughs in glee, as he and an army of ghost hunt down the man who allowed the prophesy to begin and the only man capable of stopping it again. The man who loved their mother. The man who trapped their father. The man who their brother despises. The man who's face is on the voodoo doll. The man who went to hell and escaped. The man who freed the daemon. The man who now lives forever.
Captain Jack Sparrow.
