A/N This is my first Friends fanfic, so I'm not sure how it turned out. I've been watching the show for a while now, even though it was made before I was born XD, but really loved it when I first saw it.

I'm a huge Lobster fan, and I've been reading some R&R stories for a while, so thought I'd give it a go!

Rachel lay on the couch, her head in Ross's lap. Her right hand was wrapped in his, and her left playing with the tiny fingers of her daughter Emma, who was lying on the floor beside the couch.

Ross smiled down at his two girls, before glancing out the window. What had been a slight January snowstorm an hour before had now increased, the flakes pelting down so hard all you could see was white. Everybody else was over at Monica and Chandler's apartment, and they were running late when the storm hit so stayed home. Ross preferred it that way anyway; he didn't get to spend much time with both Rachel and Emma anymore.

He felt Rachel stir before she sat up with Emma in her arms. "She fell asleep," she whispered, before standing up. "I'm just taking her to her room."

Ross nodded and gently placed a kiss on her lips before she headed to Emma's crib. A few seconds later he heard her begin to sing, and knowing it could take a while, headed to the kitchen in search of something to eat as he waited.

Looking through the pantry, he came across two lone packets shoved at the back. "Hot chocolate," he whispered, pulling out the packets and smiling. Glancing back quickly towards the bedroom, where there was still no sign of Rachel, he opened the packets.

Rachel softly placed her lips against her baby girl's head, and smiled sweetly at her as she lay asleep in her crib. "Why can't you be like this when you're awake, hm?" She giggled as Emma groaned in her sleep, before turning so her back was to Rachel. She shook her head, smirking before walking out of the room.

"Ross, Emma's asleep if you want to-" She stopped suddenly as her eyes took in the room. Even though she had only been gone a few minutes, the lights were dim and the place was littered with candles, each one producing a calming glow. The curtains had been drawn, with only a small gap to show the white wonderland outside.

Rachel's eyes diverted to Ross, who was sitting on the couch, holding a mug in his hands. "Would you like some hot chocolate?" he said, gesturing to the second steaming mug on the table.

Rachel couldn't stop the grin from spreading across her face as she sat down on the couch next to him, nestling into him and wrapping her arm around his back. "I didn't know we had hot chocolate," she exclaimed, reaching her other arm towards the mug.

Ross nodded. "Yeah, they were at the back of the cupboard, but the use-by date's next month, so it's alright." He took a sip and pulled Rachel closer to him. She laid her head back on his shoulder and sighed contentedly. Moments like this were rare in this household, but when it happened she loved them.

"We never get time like this anymore," Ross whispered, voicing Rachel's thoughts. She nodded, and shifted so her feet were up on the couch, closing her eyes. He placed his arm around her and used his other one to grab Emma's blanket that was on the floor, laying it over Rachel. She smiled, opening her eyes briefly, affection shown through just by looking at him.

Ross returned the gaze, before planting a gentle kiss on her lips. They both then closed their eyes, and let the warmth of their apartment and drink sooth them.
