"It's not that easy."

Hermione snapped her head back, tears flinging around her. "Do you think it was easy for me too? Do you think I did it for myself?" She screamed angrily, her tears rolling down her cheeks. Fred held his breathe before saying... "No."

"Then why tell me that it was easy?" Hermione said, her voice raising as she threw her hands in the air. To Fred, it sounded something like: "Oh my god Fred, you're so dumb!" But Fred pushed away that feeling. "Because you left me. Broke my heart." Fred said, trying to keep his voice leveled.

"It broke my heart as well Fred." Hermione said softly, looking up in to Fred's eyes. Blue met brown. "Then why?" Fred whispered, walking closer to Hermione and finding himself holding her hands. Hermione pulled one of her hands away from Fred's and wiped her eyes, her eyes moving away from Fred's. "I did it for you. To give you a better life, a better girl."

But before Fred could tell Hermione she was perfect- she was the best- he was incomplete without her- to gush out of all things he had kept within his heart... Hermione pulled away from him completely and looked up in to his eyes. "Goodbye Fred." She murmured, and she spun around, gone within the wind.

A single tear escaped Fred's brilliant blue eyes. Many things left unsaid... many feelings left kept. A diamond ring was still in his pocket- something that was inside there for too long. "Goodbye Hermione." He muttered to the empty room, to no one in particular- to a love that could never be.

Hermione was packing clothes in to a luggage bag, getting ready to go to France. "Why did you do it?" Ginny asked. She had been sitting quietly by the window sill, looking out in to the Weasley's front yard. "Do what?" Hermione murmured as she packed the red dress she wore to Bill and Fleur's wedding. "Break up with Fred." Ginny retorted, standing up and walking up to Hermione, her voice quivering with anger.

"How can I love someone who I know will never be mine's?" Hermione replied, turning to Ginny.

"He was already your's! He loved you!" Ginny roared angrily. Hermione felt a few tears run down her cheek as she moved away from Ginny's angry glare, packing the locket Fred had gave her for their one year anniversary, the moving pictures of Fred and Hermione kissing within it and the two of them laughing joyously in to her luggage bag silently.

"I loved him enough to let him go," Hermione mumbled, turning to look at Ginny as tears cascaded down "does that count?"

A/N: Aw. If you didn't understand, here's a quick explanation...

(Hermione broke up with Fred because she was moving to France, after accepting a job of great importance, a job her parents expected her to take. She had done it because it was hard for her to be with Fred when he was so very far away, and that she felt that she wasn't good enough for him. She also thought that it shouldn't be all about her. So she took the job. Fred hated her decision, so he decided proposing to her, in hope she would stay.

But he had lost every Gryffindor courage every time, and one day he talked to Hermione calmly about it. Hermione hated how calm Fred was, as though it was a casual matter. They got in to the fight from the first paragraph. And then Ginny was angry because Fred was his brother and all, and she's never seen him so heart broken yet. And so, the second part of the story shows when she confronts 'Mione, and 'Mione gives her the reason.)
