"Hey, can we reconsider this?"

"What do you mean, Satoshi?"

"Do I really have to undo it? This seal. Because it is the only reason that the ruins haven't collapsed yet, you know?" pointed out Satoshi as he looked up at the ruins that were covered in odd-looking plants, which grew out of the many cracks that enclosed their entire surroundings.

"You know...uh. How do I say this?"

Satoshi accidently ignored the other and kept on studying the building, or what remained of it.

As his travelling companion, Satoshi need to secure the other's safety after all. But to be fair, even after travelling together for all this time, Satoshi had never seen his face.

It wasn't like it was easy to, given that his whole face was always completely hidden underneath the hood of that strange cloak draped the length of his tall frame.

The cape in itself was pretty astonishing. It was like it was made out of pure burning red fire, because every time he moved, the cape would spark small, red, burning crisps. How he never caught on fire was a wonder for Satoshi.

Thinking about this made the boy only more curious, for once, to actually see this man's face.

Satoshi was unlike his companion, not that memorial, a short, brown haircut followed by two equally plain looking brown eyes. 'Boring' was a commen word used to descripe him.

The latter was snapped out of his thoughts when the mysterious man continued on with his speech, even if Satoshi missed most of it: "And that's why it's a step to reality. Was that good enough, Satoshi?"

The boy nodded like an idiot, having not heard a word, and hastily deactivated the seal.

Suddenly, as Satoshi expected, the building and the ground around it began to shake like there was an earthquake.

The boy was suddenly overwhelmed by a shadow cast above him and, looking up, his limbs felt numb, shock paralyzing him.

Above him, a gigantic rock was falling towards the ground, ready to squash Satoshi any second, when he suddenly felt a lot of heat rise behind him.

It was then, as he turned around, that the boy saw his travelling companion jumping into the air, heading straight towards the rock.

A weird, but powerful light was cast from his hand, which hit the rock and split it into pieces. After that, still mid-air, the cloaked man made a few blurry motions. Satoshi realized after a few seconds that the other was making hand signs at such speed, that the boy couldn't even recognize them.

His travelling companion then slammed his hand on the ground, using some kind of earth jutsu to stabilize the ruins.

...Wow.

"Satoshi," he called out gently, yet teasingly "Are you coming inside with me, or are you trying to catch some flies with that open mouth of yours?"

The boy quickly closed his mouth, and ran after him towards the now stabilized ruins. The man quickly descended the stairs, while the boy was still observing the power which the jutsu had: 'To stabilize something as big as this, it must have taken a whole lot of chakra, without even considering the jutsu or that weird cloak of his. Maybe that cape-'

Satoshi was quickly snapped out of his thoughts when the other suddenly called for him, leading the latter to run as fast as he could down the stairs, almost stumbling. Finally reaching the end of the stairs, the boy caught sight of the other looking at an altar, which had two stunning swords, embedded by their sharp ends within it.

"Hey," called out the man as soon as he felt Satoshi approach "Could you take a look, to see if there are any traps or seals here?"

The boy quickly scanned the surroundings for any traps, seals and chakra, and he only found some ancient traps - that wouldn't work anymore - and only one seal on the swords.

While Satoshi worked on deactivating the seal, he suddenly got pushed out of the way. When he looked up, surprised, he saw the cloaked man grasping the swords like they were worth a fortune, like they were worth more than the whole world.

All of a sudden, a dark aura appeared from the swords and it began to circle around the boy's travelling companion, before it caused a huge gust of wind, which blew Satoshi over and blinded him for a few seconds.

When the strange wind was gone, the boy saw that the man's hood had blown off and Satoshi, finally able to get a glimpse of his companion, was able to see that the man had pale blond, almost white hair. While his green eyes shone like a beacon through the dark.

He was standing there while the dark aura was swirling around him, menacingly, ominously, before it was then gone, and the man fell to his knees.

Concerned, Satoshi hastily ran up to him, but before he reached him, an even stronger force than earlier pushed him back. Unable to hold his stand, the boy fell down, only he never touched the floor.

Instead, he found himself lifted in the air. Dazed, Satoshi opened his eyes and saw the other standing before him. He was the one raising the boy up with one arm, while his other free hand was putting the swords away, sheathing them and claiming them as his.

And then he spoke, with a tone so dark, it sent shivers down to the boy's spine: "Satoshi, you really are a naïve child. You never considered any of my actions and the things that I made you do. You never minded anything I did. You are but a stupid youth in this shinobi-world."

The man paused and took a deep breath, before he exclaimed, expression demented, distorted: "THIS IS REALITY!"

Satoshi could only stare, startled and shocked. What was going on?

Finished with his monologue, the cloaked man coated his free hand in...something, which looked like the same substance his cloak was made of, whilst the boy's confused and hazy mind wandered off towards the events that lead to this. WHAT was going on?! Why was this happening?!

Suddenly, Satoshi felt a great pain in his chest, like there was some kind of warm fluid dripping out of it, before it hit him like a ton of bricks when he realized that it was his own blood.

But it was not dripping onto the ground. Instead, it was evaporating into thin air the second the man's oddly coated hand touched it.

Dizziness overwhelmed Satoshi, prior to him eventually, when this odd process came to an end, falling to the ground, near motionless.

But before Satoshi passed out, he could see the man walking away, while questions plagued the boy's mind: 'How did this happen? Why did this happen? And most of all why him? Why me?'

Satoshi's eyes felt heavy, but were able to widen a bit in surprise as the other's hair suddenly changed from blonde to...pink?

The boy wasn't able to observe it for long as the man's cape quickly reformed the hood over his head.

And then, all Satoshi saw was darkness.

"SHANNARO!"

"RASEN SHURIKEN!"

"AMATERASU!"

These were all battle cries heard right before Team Seven's training grounds were nearly completely destroyed.

A blur of green then ran towards the edge of their destruction with a measure tape. The young man dressed mostly in green knelt down and hurriedly began to measure the range of their attacks.

"Let's see," considered the young man analytically "Add 2 divide it by 5... And if we add that up, we come out on... IT'S A TIE! All three of you!"

"Hn," scoffed Sasuke, being his usual self, just as his blond friend spoke up, beaming proudly.

"Nice one guys, Sakura-chan, Teme," cheered Naruto, smile wide "We equal each other in our jutsu range!"

"It's truly remarkable, what the power of youth can do," exclaimed Rock Lee in awe.

"...Guys?"

"What's up, Sakura-chan?" asked Naruto, though barely listening as he was still excited and impressed by the outcome.

"I know that it was our idea, but... We've just given a lot of work to whomever normally cleans our training grounds-"

But before Sakura could finish, an angry shout from the bushes could be heard. Even before Team Seven and Lee saw him, they knew that it was a livid-looking Captain Yamato, moments away from storming out of the bushes.

So, in order to live another day, they all quickly decided to flee to Ichiraku, and while they were running for their lives, they heard Captain Yamato yell words that they never ever wanted to hear.

At Ichiraku's

As they reached the place, the four Shinobi saw a few familiar faces already seated there. Naruto quickly ran over to them while he hastened to give his order out to the old man.

Because of Naruto screaming excitedly, everyone in the restaurant and in the street looked over to him, but none of them were angry or frustrated. They all knew for a fact that Naruto was always like this, and some of them even found it amusing.

When they finally all sat down at the restaurant with Ino, Sai and Hinata - those who were already there - the young blonde girl asked: "Hey, what happened? It's like you guys just saw the devil himself."

"We sort of destroyed the training ground again," revealed Sasuke, with a sigh.

"And we angered Captain Yamato doing so," added Naruto, finishing off Sasuke's sentence.

"He was so angry, that it looked like that his anger was boiling with the fire of youth!" screamed Lee, adding another point to the explanation.

Ino frowned: "You better apologise soon. You know he's still angry because of the last training grounds."

"But that was your boyfriend's doing!" yelled Naruto while throwing Sai an accusing look - who was trying to make the right face for this conversation.

"Don't involve my little artist in your problems, baka," warned the blonde girl, shooting daggers with her glare.

Naruto, who wanted to go further with this conversation, was interrupted by Hinata's question, despite it not being directed at him: "Sakura, why are you so quiet today? Is something wrong?"

"You're right, Hinata," nodded Ino, a mischievous twitch to her lips "There must be something wrong with Forehead because, normally, she would have punched Naruto through a wall the moment he yelled out for his food."

"Yeah. What's wrong, Sakura-chan? You haven't eaten yet," said Naruto, concerned for his friend, but a little bit confused about Ino's statement.

"Hinata, Ino and Naruto are right," Lee said, he too just as worried "Is your burning fire of youth distinguishing or something?"

"Is there something wrong, Ugly?" taunted Sai with a smile, trying to get a reaction from her.

"Hn," was all that Sasuke said, but if one listened closely, a hint of concern could be heard for his teammate.

Worried for the friend, they were all waiting for Sakura's answer with the hope that she would punch Lee or Sai, due to the fact that Lee kind of insinuated that she was old, and Sai for calling her 'Ugly'.

But none of them expected the reaction she gave instead. She stood up, expression distant while saying she wasn't hungry.

And with that, she walked out the restaurant, without another word or glance.
