in secret origins p. 3 Diana wraps her arm around Batman to protect him from the bullet, and its slightly gone wrong as in batman gets hit with a bullet (not fatally) and Diana catches him. This was random.
A familiar voice says loudly, "Now!" Diana's heart races. The swift, flirtatious man says quietly "it can't be..," rather happily. Diana herself is happy as the Dark warrior they thought was dead leaped up and dodged the bullets being directed at him.
Him and Diana are fighting next to one another, watching each others back. A stray bullet hits batman in the side and Diana knows he is not dead, only unconscious. She wraps her arm around him to keep him from falling and is surprised. He does not feel cold and hard, as his demeanor and costume suggest, But warm. She could feel his pulse going stronger for some reason as he awakens and groans. Diana feels this attachment to the dark warrior, like she would do anything for him. She identifies this as love but ruled that out, she only met him a few hours ago.
whatever this feeling bodes for her, Diana is sure the batman is not without feeling.
He is... Human. And those make mistakes.

BTW, I will never have anything worse than blood in my fanfics, because I was ten when I first reading these and didn't know the difference between K and MA. (For the children!)
