Silas walked down the dark, gloomy hallway with what seemed concern. Today had been a very long day. Silas was a shiny greninja with many scars across his body. Those scars earned from fighting a terrible war. Of course everyone knew about the war. It spread like a disease. The lives that were lost fighting it. The blood we stained the world with. And all of that for a pokemon that hadn't even been born yet. What a broken war.

What was so important about that pokemon that had yet to be born? Why fight a war over them? For one very specific reason. They were going to be an exotic pokemon. Exotic pokemon are unbelievably powerful beings that even challenge the legendaries. Though they come out as what seems a regular pokemon. Deep inside lies an ethereal state which amplifies them based on their type. When they enter this ethereal state they gain an unbelievable boost in power making them stronger, faster, and they have better reflexes making them nearly impossible to hit. Only two to four exotic pokemon would be born every one hundred thousand years making them rare and sought after by warlords and evil everywhere. Of course some exotics used their abilities for good and would create a peaceful world. But some would use their abilities for malice. Destroying villages. Slaughtering people all over the world throwing everything into oblivion until the legendaries would group up to take them down. But worst of all. Being exotic came with a catch. The ethereal state is the only way an exotic can boost their power. But every time an exotic went into this form. A part of their soul would be stolen and if they used it enough times. The only thing that would be left would be a vessel of chaos as the only thing that would come to their mind would be death seeing as that's how they were made to be.

Silas had finally reached his destination. He stood before adoor with his hand on it hesitating to open it. He breathed a deep breath and then pushed the door open.

It was a large room with a table in the middle where a female glaceon, whose name was Milly, was curled around an egg while holding onto all the life she had left seeing as her stomach had been slashed and she had lost to much blood. Around her were four others. An audino, a lucario, a zoroark, and a vaporeon who had her head down next to the glaceon crying. Silas walked over to Shera, the audino, and asked, "How much times does she have left?"

"10 minutes at most", she spoke in a quiet tone trying not tolet Milly hear. Silas knew Milly's time was coming and walked over to kneel by her. She noticed and turned to look at Silas and smiled. Silas returned the smile with his own only to lose it seconds later. He took a look at the egg and put his hand on it. He could feel the little pokemon within slightly moving. He could also feel the energy that small little pokemon was giving off. A small pup that will have lost both his mother and his father and will be born with a terrible fate.

"I want to see them hatch before I go. I want to at least meet them so I can say a few things", Milly whispered in a hoarse voice clutching her egg closer to her. She then leaned her head into it and started to cry. Mary tried to comfort her sister by holding her. If only I was faster. Silas thought to himself grimly reflecting back on how she got hurt.

Flashback: 1 hour ago

Silas was running at full speed dashing through the trees with only one thought in his mind. Faster. Faster. Faster. Milly and Jacob were in trouble. There was no time to waste. Then all of a sudden a voice spoke into his mind.

"Silas! Where are you! We need you now!" Vincent shouted into Silas's mind.

"I know I know I'm almost there. Just hold on!" Silas spoke back as he started to pick up his pace even more until he reached the battlefield. It was raining heavily. Bodies were everywhere. There was so much blood one would mistake it for a red ocean. He saw pokemon fighting. Slashing and throwing themselves at each other. He looked towards the middle of the battlefield and saw his friends fighting off hundreds. Silas leaped into the battle fighting his way through to get to the others. But in front of him lie thousands of others trying to reach them as well.

Silas had no choice. He could not afford to lose his friends. He cleared his mind and thought of the closest thing to him. The person he had lost but had begged him to move on and live his life to the fullest. His wife. And with a sudden spark throughout his body he lifted the blood, sweat, and rain and turned it into a wave of wrath as he unleashed it upon to the thousands that lie in front of him. With the path cleared he took off and running so fast it would be impossible to see him. Every step he took he would knock down fifty with it. Every movement he made he would use with perfect precision to throw more waves of chaos at his enemies.

Finally he could see his friends. But when he reached them he could only count five. He looked around and noticed Jacob was missing. He looked around only to find death and war. When he found him. Silas could only stare with horror as he saw a jolteon, his best friend and Milly's husband covered in blood on the ground. His left leg missing and his arm twisted. And what hovered above him was Milly's father. Vesper, a mightyena and chief of the Sercio clan whose claw was covered in blood. But not his own. With anger and hate in Silas's mind he leaped at lighting speed and grabbed the mightyena only to lift him up and throw him to the ground repeating the process over and over. He then pinned Vesper to the ground. But all Vesper could do was laugh.

"He brought his own death when he took my daughter away from me. You can kill me if you want but we have not lost this war. In fact. We've already won. The child will come back to us and with his power we will be the new gods of this wo-" Vesper stopped speaking as Silas manipulated the blood within him and boiled him alive. Vesper screamed with agony as he melted away into the blood stained ground.

He turned towards his dead friend and walked towards him. He lifted Jacob up and walked towards the others creating a wave around them ensuring their safety. Milly turned to see what had become of her husband and ran to him as fast as she could with her egg in her paws leaning into him and bursting into tears. Silas took the jewel out of his bag and spoke to it quietly, "Home."

The jewel lifted up and glowed brightly surrounding him and his friends. They were about to vanish until a haxorus came from nowhere and used slash. Silas dodged and with a quick movement grabbed him and threw him out before the jewel teleported them.

They were home. They finally made it out. Silas turned towards the others and looked at Milly.

"No!" he screamed as he saw her trembling on the ground with a terrible slash on her stomach

Present time

They stood there for a long time. Everyone was quiet. How could anyone speak in the first place? Jacob was dead. Gone. And now Milly's about to go to leaving her child without parents. Let's not forget the many clans after him and his power. What a terrible fate.

Silas was immediately brought back into reality as he heard a cracking sound. He and the others looked at the egg as it began to crack. Milly got closer and watched contently as if she was in a staring contest with the egg and she was winning. The egg cracked even more until the shell broke off. We all stared in wonder as a little eevee head poked out of it and looked around at the giants staring at it. Milly picked up her newborn and held it between her paws with a smile so bright it could blind you. The little eevee looked up at the glaceon and smiled back.

"Hi there little one", she said faintly. "What am I gonna call you, hmm?"

She licked the little eevee's head and spoke a name, "Jacob". She licked the eevee again. She then placed her head down next to the eevee and curled around them.

"Sis don't go. Please don't leave us", Mary tried but Milly didn't respond. After that Mary burst into tears. Vincent and Shera looked away. Fisk, the zoroark, went to get something for the little guy to eat. Silas watched little Jacob as he squirmed and attempted to move. Silas move over to him and picked him up. He stared at the newborn for a few minutes. This little fella was the exotic. The reason the war started. Silas knew that he had to keep Jacob safe no matter what. And that he should never learn of his ability and his past until he was older. Until he could handle the painful truth. This was Silas's mission. He was not about to let Milly's and Jacob's deaths go in vain. What a terrible fate.
