"So, what do you think Jazz?" Danny asked his sister. He was staring at a flyer that was half burned up. His black suit had glowing green accents and a gray belt. He had on white gloves and boots. A green ghost print laid on his neck, right where one would place their fingers to take their pulse. He had one ice blue eye and one toxic green, while his hair was raven black with strips of snow white scattered about. He bent down to pick up his black cloak that had the clasp broken and had fallen during the fight.
"It seems like a good idea to me. It might even give us a lead," Jazz responded as she tied up her orange hair. Her black long sleeved shirt was torn, revealing a jagged scar. She wore a teal skirt with black leggings that stopped at her knees. Around her waist was a belt that held a thermos, a teal rod with glowing green accents, and a small pouch. She wore no socks with her black flats to show off the teal ghost print wrapped around her ankle.
A teenage African American boy sighed. "It seems like a lot of trouble, but I'm in if you are," Tucker added. His yellow vest was blowing in the wind, showing off the green ghost print on his chest that was directly above his heart. He wore baggy green pants that had pockets all over and brown boots. He adjusted the golden goggles over his eyes and a red beret on his head. Then he pulled out a small gray device and started twiddling with it.
Sam punched him in the arm, and he let out a whimper but continued to twiddle away. "You're just saying that, because you would rather play with your inventions then fight. Come on; this is going to be loads of fun!" Sam exclaimed. Tucker only pouts in response. Sam huffs and opens a pouch attached to her belt. She pulls out some black bandages and starts twisting them around her forearms. Her black skirt flutters in the wind against her tall purple socks. Her black and purple crop top had inched upwards during their previous fight giving a better view of the black ghost print on her stomach.
"I for one can't wait to fight! We should practice Sam if we are joining that contest," Valerie inserts with a wicked smile. A black dress with red accents sticks to her body while the black tights and red heels help sell the deal of how much of a killer she is. Her dark brown, almost black hair, was braided out of the way. Her black gloves ended at her forearm, so her red ghost print on her shoulder was not concealed.
Danny looked them over. "We are in agreement then?" Danny questioned, and the four teenagers nodded their heads. Danny smiled. "Then I guess we are entering the Grand Magic Games," Danny explained with a smirk, and they smirked back. Danny then turned around. "I guess we should first clean this mess up though," Danny stated. Littered on the ground around them was a bunch of mages.
"Yeah, but at least we didn't destroy anything this time," Tucker responded, looking up from his device. Then he tapped a few buttons, and a yellow net of magic appeared around all the knocked out mages. He then looked at Danny. "You know we will probably have a hard time getting in. Even with Jazz and me working together, we will still need at least a master's agreeance," Tucker informed Danny. Danny frowned.
Jazz smiled. "Don't worry, I already know the perfect master," Jazz stated with a smirk. Danny glanced at her with wide eyes. "Yes, Danny, I do mean him," Jazz replied, her smirk only seemed to grow. Danny gulped and shied away from her. "Open, portal of tempo! Clockwork!" Jazz shouted as she waved the thermos in front of her. A bright light shined out from it, and then a man appeared.
The man was blue-skinned and had red eyes. A scar went across his left eye, and clock mechanisms were implanted in his chest. He carried a staff that held a clock on top. His shirt was purple and buttoned up with black gears. He had on gray gloves that contained three watches over each and a black belt that held an old pocket watch. Where his legs should be though, there was a wispy blue tail. "Jasmine, I see the parade is at a detour," Clockwork greeted.
Jazz nodded her head. Her hands tightened on the thermos, but Jazz stared him in the eye. "We need a Master, as our guild… well, it won't be possible to move forward without one," Jazz informed the ghost. She lowered her eyes as she waited.
"I know, but then… I know everything. I shall be able to fill out the required papers when the time comes," Clockwork replied. Jazz sagged in relief, as a smile formed on her lips. She nodded her head and was lifting the thermos up when Clockwork lifted his hand. "And Daniel, you must be careful, for darkness awaits. Oh, and I have fixed a new clasp for your cloak," Clockwork added and with that he nodded to jazz. She pressed a button on the thermos and a green portal appeared, which Clockwork disappeared into.
Danny let loose a shiver before putting on his black cloak with the new white clock gear clasp. "Well, looks like this guild is going to be in the Grand Magic games," Danny announced. The four nodded and started heading back to town. Valarie, Sam, and Tucker carried the mages, while Jazz and Danny started to plan. It looked like Midnight Calamity was back in business, for now at least. "Do you think our guild would be proud of us?" Danny asks Jazz in a quiet murmur.
Jazz looks into his troubled eyes and sighs. "Probably not, but they would understand. Besides using their actual name would get us into trouble. We need to stand strong though, Danny. This will get us a lot of attention, and not all of it will be the kind we want," Jazz informed her little brother. Danny sighed. Where did their guild, Casper High, go?
