"RUN IT'S AN EARTHQUAKE!" my mom grabs the hands of my siblings as we all wobble down the trembling stairs. We force open the shut doors and finally reach the dusty air outside.
Covered in the dust of collapsing buildings, we look back at our apartment that is now in a pile of ashes and rubbish.
The shock from the depressing scene drags me back into reality. My eyes break open along the heavy breathing from the earthquake dream. My pupils diminish, controlling the amount of light coming into my eyes.
I have fallen asleep watching my beloved boyfriend, Kuroba Kaito, putting on an outstanding show. He was way better than detectives like Kudo Shinichi (OVA 10). The nearly dead phone sleeps beside my pillow, vibrating with its last drops of energy, telling me it's time to get up for a dreadful day of school.
The vibration was what caused the chaotic dream. What a nightmare. But without these vibrations, I would not be able to wake up from my deep sleep.
I repeatedly tap the snooze button and continue to snuggle in my cozy blanket. Who would be eager for another day of hell? Obviously not me.
After snuggling for another 10 minutes, I have no choice but to get up because the ticking watch in the silent room reminded me every second that I am going to be late.
Reluctantly getting up and dragging my feet across the cold wooden floor, I reach my closet and pull the closet doors open. Inside, are messy stacks of clothes, ready to fall upon me. To avoid the mountain of clothes from falling on top of me, I pick the light blue shirt and the dark colored jeans on top. Then, I pick up a navy blue sweater from the end of my bed. With my clothes for the day, I went to the bathroom to get changed, brush teeth, and wash face. The cold water splashing onto my face completely wakes me up from my sleep. I swing my navy blue backpack onto my back and went out the door.
Wind hits my face mercilessly. If I had not tied my hair up in a ponytail, I would have scared the people passing by me. With the wind blowing from all directions, it is hard to fight my way to my school that is about a mile away. The heavy gray clouds cover the last rays of sunlight. I can barely keep my eyes open with all the flying dust. Suddenly, a very strong gust of wind blows me off of my feet. I land hard on my back with a thud.
When the wind ends, I open up my eyes. I land on the soft grass but... grass? I was walking on the cement road without any parks nearby. Where did this grass come from? Why does this grass look so weird? It looks like it's from some kind of drawing... And the style is so familiar. I pluck a few pieces out and examine it from top to bottom and left to right. Something is also off. My hand... Why doesn't it look like my hand? The shape and size are right but the style... it... IT LOOKS JUST LIKE IT CAME OUT OF AN ANIME! AND ITS AN ANIME I KNOW. THIS ART STYLE! GOSHO AOYAMA SENSEI'S STYLE!
"AM I IN MAGIC KAITO?! KAITO, HONEY, SWEETY, BOYFRIEND, FUTURE HUSBAND! WHERE ARE YOU!" I scream in my high pitch, fangirl voice.
But what I get in return, are awkward glances from people who are passing by. Most of them are couples who are having a date. Wait. There are also Ferris wheels and rides. Tropical Island? If this is Kaito's busy date with Aoko, I should be able to find him at the Dragon Roller Coaster at this time.
"NOW WHERE IS THE MAP! I SHALL BE DESTINED TO MEET MY BEAUTIFUL KAITO UNDER THIS BEAUTIFUL FULL MOON!"
One of the couples who are just about to kiss gives me annoyed glares and points to a huge map that is lighted up.
I whisper a sorry and hurries toward the map. Let's see... Kaito is that way!
*moments later*
"WHY AM I BACK TO THE SAME FREAKING MAP! WHERE IS MY KAITO!"
Tired from all the walking, I slump down to cry whine,"KAITO..."
Just then, a breeze flies by me. That back view, LOOKS JUST LIKE MY KAITO!
Without any hesitation, I get up to chase him. The more I get closer, the more something looks off. He. Is. NOT. I repeat, NOT, Kaito. He's Shinichi, and I know what's going to happen because Shinichi plus Tropical Island equals shrinking.
I quickly hide behind a bush. The man in black approaches him silently with a bat, ready to knock him out.
YUUSSSS! GO! KILLLL HIMMMMMM! Although he won't die. Not even when he falls from a zeppelin and gets hit by a gun (Airship, Movie 14).
My enthusiasm gets me into trouble. The man in black hears a movement in the bush I am hiding in. Oh, no. He's going to kill me. STUPID SHINICHI! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO WATCH THAT ILLEGAL TRADE THAT WOULD GET YOU INTO TROUBLE FOR ANOTHER THOUSAND CHAPTERS!
Should I stay put or make a run for it? If I make a run for it, I might be shot.
Wait. I know. I'm such a genius, "meowww..."
The guy that forced Shinichi his drug has an evil smirk running across his pale slim face. Does he know I'm not a cat? He pulls out a gun and points in my direction. Crap. Maybe I should have made a run for it. Even if I make a run now, I can't run faster than a bullet. But he didn't want any attention, right? That's why he used the pill kill Shinichi silently. I have to think of a way to eat the medicine since I know it is just going to shrink me.
Before any ideas come to mind, a bullet was fired. It soars pass my cheek, leaving me dripping with blood. Wait. This is the perfect plan.
Pretending I have lost consciousness, I fall down flat onto my stomach.
He pulls my head up by my hair. That really hurts. He stuffs the pill into my mouth along with some water. Tap water. Ewww. I just don't like the taste of it.
Footsteps could then be heard, walking further and further away from me. Once, it is gone, I try to get up. But my hands fell asleep and won't budge. Then, my body feels like it has been thrown into a volcano that is about to erupt. My heart starts to beat at an abnormal speed. My breathing gets heavier and heavier every second. Until I couldn't deal with the pain anymore, I fade into the darkness of the night.
I wake up to the panicking voices of people. I manage to open one of my heavy eyelids to see what's going on but, all I see is darkness. Thinking about Detective Conan's first episode, the people must be the police. However, even if I was shrunk into a child, I should still be able to see. Why can't I see anything? Have I gone BLIND? I CAN'T SEE THE BEAUTIFUL FACE OF MY KAITO ANYMORE! Tears stream down my face. When I wipe my tears away, I notice that my arm is not numb anymore! I can move! I turn to lay on my back and figure out where I am based on my sense of touch. It feels like the fabric of the clothes I was wearing today. Did my head shrink smaller than Conan? DID I SHRINK BACK TO A BABY?! I CAN'T BE A BABY! IF I'M A BABY, HOW AM I GONNA SEE MY BELOVED KAITO? Hoping that this isn't true, I try to dig out of my clothes. I crawl in the direction where I think is the neck hole of the shirt. But the more I crawl, the more hopeless it seems. Just exactly how small have I gotten? Don't tell me, I have shrunk to the size of an ant. After probably hours of crawling and fighting with the fabric that gets in the way, I reach an end. I come out of the end of my pants. No wonder it took so long. I look around my surrounding. Exactly the same as before, but only a hundred million times bigger. I stand up and pat some of the dirt off of myself but what I see aren't hands or legs. It is furry white paws...
