He stares across the room at her.
Watching her every move,
Graceful and beautiful,
Even if it is just bring a coffee cup to her lips.
He needs to tell her.
What's stopping him?
Is it because he cares for her too much to hear a rejection?
Or hear it's too late.
But then again,
What's the point in caring if she doesn't know?

If only he had the strength to walk across the room and hold her,
To tell her the whispered words that had graced his lips
Never out loud but always there.
She had warned him,
That one day it will be too late
And now he feared he may be.

If only he could tell her how much he cares about her how much he doesn't want to lose her.
But it's too painful to even think of telling her,
And then knowing she's moved on.
Maybe he should leave her be?
She looks happy,
Well happier than he's seen her in months.
He can still feel it though,
The whispers in the back of his mind.
The whispers of Hope.
Hope.
That one day he won't be too late
The voices trick him,
They tell him that all the pain is going to be worth it one day.
One day all his misery will be gone and it will all be replaced by her
