On December 24, 2005 the "Pluto's Kiss" incident occurred. A virus causes all networks around the globe to crash, and all computers and systems connected to the network to experience malfunctions. Though the network recovers 77 minutes later, the fragile nature of the worldwide network has been exposed. It is later discovered that a 10-year-old grade school student has been behind the virus.
The United Nations' World Network Council (WNC) reintroduces a proposal that had been vetoed earlier in April of 2004, of the "New Generation Hyper Net" with the corporate network ALTIMIT OS as the standard Operating System, as it had been the only system unaffected by "Pluto's Kiss". By Summer of 2006, ALTIMIT has become a worldwide name and with this, many core developers leave to form the corporation.
Kira Watarai (Albireo's sister) started playing the world after she found out her older brother was in the game, she made a player twin blade user called Darkmetrau whom had taken a form of a dark angelic girl ( fallen angel ).
The name Darkmetrau means dark hope which relates to Kira's real life issues with her friends and family, the deal with her and her brother Albireo also known as Kazushi Watarai is that they never get to see each othertheir mother and father separated them as children and they never really stayed in contact much.
The disturbances in the world take on Albireo's attention, from wandering AI's and coma victims, he's got his hands full on with the administrators whom want him to delete anything that gets in the systems way, but what happens when Darkmetrau falls victim to the online game? Will he be able to delete his own sister? But question is dose he know that his sister even plays the game?.
With the help of an admin's assistant called Hecki, Darkmetrau must find a way to get back to the real world before Lios , Magi , Yukino catch up to her.
