Hidden within the Darkness
She was sat, alone, in the dark. She could hear the rain pounding on the floor and yet she was dry. She looked up and realised she was sat in a cave. She stood and walked further into the darkness. She had to hold her hands out in front of her to make sure she didn't walk into anything. After what seemed like three hours her hands finally met the cold, damp surface of the cave. She felt a shiver run up her spine and make her heart beat faster than ever before. She warily moved closer to the side of the cave and could faintly see scratches on the rock. She traced the scratches with her finger, it was only then she realised where she was and what the scratches really were. "It's …….."
Larina awoke with a start. She looked across at her alarm clock and noted that it was only a few minutes past midnight. She had been asleep for only half an hour and yet she felt wide awake; no matter how hard she tried she couldn't get back to sleep. Finally she rose from her bed and picked up her notebook; she began to write of the dream she had just had. It had felt so real she could still feel the coldness of the rock and as she looked at her hands she saw specks of dirt and moss on her palms.
"I can't have, can I?" she asked herself as she wiped away the dirt on her pyjamas.
