What Perfect Means
By: An Independent Mind And Spirit
She is the most beautiful person I had ever seen. I had heard rumors - I'm sure all of Tokyo has -, but I had never believed before.
I believe now.
She is elegant, cheerful, full of energy. She seemed to care about everyone around her, everyone in the vicinity at least. She smiled at me, said, "Everything will be all right.", and, winking, was gone with her two fellow super-heroines.
Maybe I am going crazy, as my family seems to believe.
I saw Sailor Moon.
She has long blonde hair, deep blue eyes, perfect skin and figure. She outshines in beauty all the landscapes I had ever taken photos of.
In one glimpse, I felt that the entire world was safe in her arms.
The golden crescent moon on her choker seemed to glow whenever I looked at it. For some reason, I kept thinking that it belonged on her forehead, to shine proudly with her status.
Her blue eyes glowed with concern, but I could still see, well hidden in the bottomless depths, only for a second, a miniature version of Sailor Moon, in a long white flowing dress and pristine snow white angel wings folded behind her shoulders. A tiny crescent moon, one that couldn't be seen but rather felt, adorned her forehead like the greatest of jewels.
This girl, this Sailor Moon, was - is? - a princess, perhaps of the Moon itself. I cannot say.
I had turned to photography of landscapes a few years ago, when my uncle taught me how to use a camera, because I could see the cruelty people held in our hearts. People, in my opinion, could never be truly become as gorgeous as nature until the viciousness and heartlessness we have is erased. Nature is magnificent in its glory, without the malice we have.
Now, though, I have seen the first person, who, despite the insulting she and Sailor Mars were giving each other as they left - a blind person could see they didn't mean it -, would never intentionally hurt another human being if she could help it. Her heart was full of love and kindness, and hate or evil could never make their way in.
Maybe I am crazy.
Maybe I am not.
But Sailor Moon is the first person I ever met who was truly flawless, inside and out.
More so than any sunset, more so than any waterfall or forest, this warrior - yet princess - from the Moon is truly immaculate.
My photos will now be of the Moon, so that I may honor the one who truly showed me what perfect means.

Authoress' Notes: This was meant to be a little ficlet of Philip Fisher's, the photographer that Usagi and Rei know, feelings and thoughts after/during being rescued (Episode 14: Shutter Bugged). I don't think it was good, but I'm satisfied with it. It is kind of disjointed, but I think you get the idea, right? Hope you enjoyed it!
