Dolores changed by dressing differently. At the beginning of the story, she wore t-shirts to work. But towards the end of the story, Dolores started wearing blouses instead of t-shirts. She also started to wear bracelets, and I think she started acting more lady-like and less manly when she started receiving the flowers. That's how I think Dolores changed.
Ernie changed by being able to get control over his own life. This started happening when his mother died. Ernie started meeting new people, and he got to finally move out of the house and discover the world, since he never knew of it before. Ernie started making more of his own decisions. Ernie also started acting more of a real adult because he was sort of like a baby when he was with his mother. That's how I think Ernie changed during the story. I think Ernie changed the most. Dolores only changed by the way she dressed, but Ernie made a lot more important changes, like actually having control of his own life. Ernie also got the chance to discover the world around him, because when he was with his mom, he only knew of his house.
