Author's Note: Hello, welcome to my Pokémon Sun and Moon Fanfic! This story will be a slight AU, including a few deviations from canon Sun and Moon and adding a few things as well. Please, enjoy!
Prologue: 3 Months Ago
A young blonde haired girl raced through a building, panting as she held her swinging duffel bag close. She was wearing white, fancy clothing and a large floppy hat, along with shoes completely unfit for sprinting. She continuously glancing behind her for pursuers as she ran, ducking behind boxes and darting around corners. She came upon a straight catwalk, with three pillars and a glowing triangle between them. She ran between the pillars, freezing as railings rose around her, and the floor began to rise.
'Maybe this elevator can!...Maybe we can get out of here!' she thought as the lift rose. She gripped her bag even tighter, eliciting a small "Pew!" from it. "Sorry! We'll be free soon!" The girl whispered in response, peeking down into her bag where two blue eyes and one yellow eye stared back at her.
The lift came to a shuddering halt, the railings retreating back into the sides of the elevator. The girl looked around, she was in an indoor garden. Rocks, bushes, trees, a small creek, and multiple winding pathways, all covered by a glass dome. She took a few hesitant steps forward before hearing a shout from behind her.
"Hey, there she is! Get her!" a masculine voice shouted. The girl whirled around to see two men in immaculate white uniforms running her way. The girl let out a little shriek, spun back around, and fled the in the opposite direction.
The girl sprinted down the white railed walkways in the park, ignoring the shouts for her to stop. She didn't stop to look behind her, she just kept running. She turned left at a fork, raced around two corners, before stopping short as another man in a similar white uniform appeared in front of her, blocking her way.
The girl spun around, realizing that she was trapped with nowhere to go. She grabbed her duffel bag with both hands, holding it very close. The three men smirked, before advancing on her.
"I'm impressed you were able to outrun us for this long." One of them commented, throwing his arms out to the sides.
"But this is the end for you now. Give us back that Pokémon!" the second man continued.
"Don't worry, the president will take good care of it, and of you." The third man finished, reaching out for the bag the girl held.
"STOP IT!" the girl screamed, lashing out and hitting the man in the chest, knocking him away. "You...you stay away from Nebby!"
"That's it!" the man the girl hit growled, reaching for a Pokéball at his side. He raised his arm, about to throw the ball, before freezing suddenly, staring at the girl's bag, which had begun to glow.
"W-what is that?" he shouted, stumbling back.
"Nebby?" the girl whispered as the glow grew and became a swirling vortex of blue energy that slowly encompassed the entire park they were in.
Then all they knew was white.
