CHAPTER 1

Now, I've been through a lot of craziness in my life, but this experience beats all of them.

If you told me yesterday I would be running away from a pair of snake/dragon ladies with a half donkey- wait half goat, I would've said you were mad.

Let's start from the beginning, shall we?

I watched as Mrs Janora explained some stuff about the importance of preserving the history of Manhattan.

Ugh, these are the types of stuff that annoy me, we're supposed to be doing more hands-on work, but teachers must take pride in babbling about stuff that won't actually help us in the future.

Finally, after an hour of agony, the bell rang. Great, now I had Literature class.

I probably dozed off a few times in class, but I woke up just as Mr Brad started asking questions.

"Common gramatical errors," he said.

He wrote something on the board which I had no capability of reading.

The words flew of the page. It has been like this for me since I was 7, I couldn't really read, that made me the target of insults and bullies.

What I could read on the board was "Omcmon timacagral rerrso". Thank god today was a half-day. I had an excuse to go home and look for more hanging around spots.

I never got lost, no matter where I go, something just seems so inviting about travelling and looking for places. I suspected my ADHD was partly behind this.

Finally, as the last bell rang, students rushed out of the class, eager to do whatever that was so important to them.

I really was wishing someday, somehow, I would wake up, and this would all be a bad dream. I dunno, I just really want a change in my already suckish life.

Boy did I get what I wished for.
