Title: Apparel, Apparently

Summary: Interlude in the morning. Somewhat pointless. (Ninth Doctor & Rose)

Author's Notes: Wholly pointless, as it happens, and I am very ashamed. Crap title, too.

When the Doctor knocked on Rose's bedroom door, he heard a muffled thud from inside. "Just a minute!" she called. "Not decent!"

A few seconds later she said, "OK, you can come in now."

The Doctor had seen Rose's room before – he'd been in there numerous times, usually to wake her up or to hurry her along when she was taking her sweet time.

The screen was a new addition.

It looked Japanese, and there were various items of clothing strewn along the top. "What's up?" said Rose from behind it.

"Thought you said you were decent?"

She tutted. "No. I said you could come in. Never said I wasn't partially unclothed, but it's not like you can see me, right?" A hand appeared and plucked a pale blue bra from the top of the screen. "I mean," Rose continued, "unless you've got x-ray vision, or something, and if you have, then I really think we should do something about getting me a super power, cos I feel left out."

The Doctor blinked, taking all this on board. "No x-ray vision," he replied eventually. "You mean you're not bothered by me sitting here while you're getting changed?"

"Wouldn't have said 'come in' if I was. You can't see another purple sock out there, can you? Honestly… I always lose one… so what did you want to talk to me about?"

"Hmm?" He located the sock and tossed it expertly over the screen.

"Ta. You came in here for a reason, right?"

"Oh… yeah. We've arrived – eighteenth century France."

"Really?" He heard a little contemplative noise. "Don't suppose this t-shirt'll do?" She held out a yellow top for his inspection.

He grinned. "Not a chance. Wardrobe – off you go."

She muttered mutinously under her breath, and emerged wearing the yellow t-shirt and jeans.

"Oi," he said. "What did I tell you? You're not going out in that."

"It's to wear for the trip to the wardrobe," she said huffily. "I'm not walking through the TARDIS in my underwear."

Shame, he thought idly as she left the room. Damned shame.
