Questions

"Kakashi…if you had the chance to change history, what would be the one thing you'd change?"
He thought about the question long and hard. He thought about his father, Sakumo Hatake. He thought about his fallen friends, Obito Uchiha and Rin. He thought about the 4th Hokage, the Yondaime, his mentor and sensei, Minato Namikaze. He thought about the countless people slaughtered during the 3rd Ninja Wars, of the people of Kohona during the Kyuubi Attacks, of numerous civilians' and ninjas alike that had died during missions gone awry, and of his comrades and classmates and people he had known for years wiped away in an instance. He thought about this and for a long time and didn't answer her.
Finally, he came up with his answer.
"What I ate for breakfast this morning," he replied. "Your cooking is really awful Anko."
She scowled.
He however smiled, although the only indication of this was the crinkles in the corners of his eye.
Because he realized as much as he missed all these people, changing history may not have changed the inevitable outcome of their fate. For all he knew, his desire to prolong their lives would have only led to an equal or greater death of equal or greater suffering. Things happened for a reason, and it was the only conclusion that he had ever come to. Besides, he was really regretting eating Anko's cooking. He did not feel well, at all.
Next time, he would simply opt for toast. It seemed to be the only thing she knew how to cook without burning it.
