Where are you this moment?
Only in my dreams.
You're missing, but you're always
A heartbeat from me.
I'm lost now without you,
I don't know where you are.
I keep watching, I keep hoping,
But time keeps us apart

Marian woke with a start; she had seen Robin in her dreams again. He was standing in front of her; beckoning her to follow him, yet as hard as she tried she could not reach him; always too far away. It had been close to 4 months since Robin went away, yet every night he haunted her dreams, even being thousands of miles apart robin still had a hold on her heart. Every morning Marian would look to the horizon searching for his silhouette, her heart crying out for his touch.

Is there a way I can find you,
Is there a sign I should know,
Is there a road I could follow
To bring you back home?

Many a time Marian had thought of running away to find him, going to France to find the king. To beg him to let her Robin come home to her, 'Please god; give me a sign that he still lives, that he still cares' Marian would say in her prayers at night 'Please bring him home to me'.

Winter lies before me
Now you're so far away.
In the darkness of my dreaming
The light of you will stay

As the morning breaks over the trees and the first light of day sneaks rough the cracks in the shutters, Marian knows that Robin won't be coming over the horizon, or climbing up to her window to whisk her off on an adventure. Yet somehow in the dark of the night, in the dreams that plague her night after night, a part of Robin will always stay with her.

If I could be close beside you
If I could be where you are
If I could reach out and touch you
And bring you back home
Is there a way I can find you
Is there a sign I should know
Is there a road I can follow
To bring you back home to me

Thousands of miles away on the battle fields of Jerusalem; Robin awoke, tears streamed down his cheeks. Every night he had seen her standing by her bedroom window, looking more beautiful than the last he had seen her; yet cold. Robin reached out to hold her in an embrace, 'No' he screamed in the night 'Marian please, I will come home to you, I promise you'. The dreams continued until one night near the break of day, Robin saw Marian at her window again, he called out to her; shouting up to her that he loved her. Her eyes looked vacant and empty, Robin was still shouting as Marian closed the shutters 'Please do not forget me' Robin whispered as he heard Marian reply 'Please come home to me'.
