'A' New Life

Chapter One: It Starts Again

Summary: After the girls found out who 'A' was, they started to count down until they could start living normal lives again; only to have things start back up right after 'A's trial.

Disclaimer: I don't own Pretty Little Liars. This story can take place in the future, and has little to no ties to what has happened in Season 3A (so Toby isn't involved with the 'A' team).

The countdown had started. Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer were just counting down until their new lives started. 'A' had finally been exposed and their lives were slowly becoming their own again. Aria had told Ezra and Jason everything, so she and Ezra were over and she and Jason had started to hang out more and were working on being in a relationship; Emily has explained everything to Samara and they were mending their relationship; Hanna was talking things out with her dad, and was working on mending things with Isabelle; and Spencer had admitted things to Toby and apologized profusely for breaking things off between them.

Since 'A's uncovering, all four girls had moved away from Rosewood with their significant others and were all happy to move on with their lives with a fresh start. Aria and Jason had moved to Florida and were living in a beach house that Jason's family owned. Emily and Samara had moved to Washington and were currently living in Seattle. Hanna and Caleb had moved to New York and were staying in an apartment near Broadway. And moving the farthest away from Rosewood to Hawaii, Spencer and Toby lived on Maui, only a short distance from the beach. But when they heard of the court case against 'A', all four girls came back to Rosewood to be witnesses for the Prosecution.

After a couple of weeks, the jury finally found 'A' guilty on all accounts. With sighs of relief, all of the girls were happy to finally be rid of 'A' and all the lies that came with that acquaintance. Once they left the court house, the four couples went out for a relaxing night on the town and just had the fun that they had been deprived of for so long. The following morning, on the way to the airport to head their separate ways, the girls all received the same text; one that made all of them freeze and become extremely uneasy. Looking around them, the girls failed to see who had sent the text, but they knew that their nightmare wasn't over.

Glancing towards the gates, none of the girls could see their significant others and they started to panic. Hadn't they just gotten past all of this? Hadn't they just started to live their lives with a new start? Hadn't 'A' just been sentenced to a lifetime in prison with no chance of parole? How could they already be back in this mess so soon after getting out of it? Looking back down at the black words on her cell phone screen, Spencer read the text out loud so that only her friends could hear her.

You can't get rid of me that easily. - A
