OK, so I'm fully aware that I haven't finished my other stories. But I just felt like it was time for a change. I'm going through serious writers block so I thought I would just take a break from it for a while and start fresh w/a new story. I hope you like it!
Disclaimer:I don't own the Outsiders, only April and the story plot.
"Get out you little home wrecker!" Malinda, my foster mother shouts at me. She grabbed me by my long golden brown hair and threw me out the house along with my belongings. I winced as my fragile body hit the solid, rough soil.
"We take you in and welcome you in this house with open arms! We've given you everything! And you go behind my back and sleep with MY husband!" I got up and started to grab all my things. I didn't care that she was kicking me out. This isn't the first time this has happened. Almost every other month I get kicked out of a new foster home due to being accused of seducing their husbands.
"Malinda, I would be more than happy to leave this hell on earth. Just for the record, I didn't sleep with your husband, and second of all he seduced me. Your husband has absolutely nothing to offer. If it weren't for his money you wouldn't give a damn about him anyways." I said harshly. I started to walk away when but was suddenly stopped by a firm cold hand gripping my arm. Next thing I know Malinda's hand came in contact with my face with a slap.
"What do you know about life you little slut." Ha, if she only knew. I thought to myself.
For a girl of the age of 15, I've been through more than anyone could imagine. But my past is exactly where it should be, in the past, so I don't talk about it. It just holds me back from the future.
"Have a damn good life Malinda." Were my last words to her. I continued to walk away again, this time without interruptions.
"Well April, you've done it again. For about the 100th time in you life you're homeless, starving, and alone." I said to myself as I sat down on a bench to wait for my train. I got the money for a ticket from Malinda's husband this morning. He said the fifty dollars would be mine in the condition that I stop by his room tonight. Since Malinda is a nurse, she works nights. I took the money, but I wasn't planning on sticking around. I was going to run away as soon as the next train to Tulsa, Oklahoma arrived. I think I have a cousin up there somewhere. Johnny Cade I think was his name.
"Well, here I go." I said confidently as I stepped in the train." Once again I'm running away from my past".
Ok well that's pretty much it for the first chapter. For some people the past in the past thing doesn't make much sense now. It will later in the story. Thanx for reading! Don't forget to message and review. Later loves.
