So, first off it's been a long time, and I know probably many of you are waiting for more of part two for For Whom The Bell Tolls but I'm at serious wall with that one. For now, I'm trying to rewrite a story I gave up on a long time ago, some of y'all may of read it, some of y'all may not. Either way, I hope this one goes a little better. This is all I've had to write toward this, but please, any comments whether praise or criticism are welcomed as always. I'm also opened to suggestions. Hope y'all enjoy, here's the prologue of Aresko's Trials.

Commandant. It was a title I once wore with pride, not to mention cowardice. Now? It meant nothing to me. Just a title of a terrible, mislead past. I felt like this meeting was would be my last, or perhaps it was just result of my fear of my superiors. Either way, I had a terrible feeling about it. Ignoring my feelings (Mother always said they weren't important, though what did that old hag know?), I pushed my doubt down, at least, best I could manage, and headed to Grand Moff Tarkin's office. Already there, early as always, was Taskmaster Myles Grint, the "brute to my brains" as everyone always said.
Looking past his cocky, arrogant, irritating and glutinous nature, Grint was a surprisingly gentle character beneath his large, overweight body. I'd swear my superiors saw this as some joke. Me, a thin and, if I'm to be frank, frail human being, partnered with him, the tall, fat bully everyone despised. I had hated him and despised him with every fiber of my being. Over the years, however, the two of us formed a sort of friendship that can't really be explained. Despite our constant bickering, we became thick as thieves, so to speak. Though he constantly irritated me and on constant occasion would tease me for my small build, he had my back in times that I would least expect, like that time I had to some time in a bacta tank after being severely beaten by some Trandoshan that wasn't entirely pleased with my trying to arrest him. Luckily Myles arrived in time before the wretched reptile killed me.
Still, he was irritating as hell.
"Late as always, Aresko." Grint said with a sneer.
"No, you're just early, Taskmaster, as always. I'd rather be punctual than waste my time waiting around."
Grint shrugged, unfathomed. As always. That was the thing with him, the one thing that made him so irritating. Always quick on the insults, never insulted.
I rolled my eyes, irritated. Today was not a good day.
"Let's just get this show on the road." Myles said.
I let out a pent up sigh we both entered Grand Moff Tarkin's office. Little did we know, one of us wouldn't be leaving that office alive.
