Kagome's Strengthened Resolve

Chapter 1 - Burden Bearer
Kagome watched in horror as Naraku snapped Kikyo's bow in half before spearing the miko's left thigh with a sharpened tentacle, making her cry out in pain, Kagome looked around. Everyone (Except Inuyasha) was engaged in a battle with one of Naraku's demons, Kagome glance at the silver haired half-demon, who only stood there holding his sword, Tessaiga, not willing to make a move,
Kikyo's scream brought Kagome back to the present, she then realized that she was going to be the one who stopped Naraku, luckily when she had returned to her own time the last time Kagome had picked up some things that she knew would come in handy in this battle, one such thing was a Remington AR-X7 Assault Rifle, which was now firmly gripped in her slightly unsteady hands. Taking a deep breath, Kagome calmed down and took aim at Naraku, who was poised to strike a fatal blow on a defenseless Kikyo.
Kagome targets Naraku's heart and pulls the trigger, the 5.56 round struck Naraku in the heart, stopping him from hurting Kikyo, then before he could recover, Kagome fired a second time, this time the bullet hits Naraku in the head, causing him to slump to the ground, dead.
Kagome rushes down from the ridge where she and Inuyasha had positioned themselves,
Kagome rushed over to Kikyo, her eyes full of concern.
"Kikyo, are you ok?" Kagome asked before helping Kikyo get to her feet.
Kikyo looked up at Kagome, who was offering the older woman a hand, looking afraid.
'Kagome was afraid... for my safety,' Kikyo thought as she took the teen's hand and allowed herself to be pulled to her feet.
"That wound looks bad Kikyo, I have some medicine back in the village to treat it with," Kagome said,
Then Kagome addressed the remaining Demons and Humans still locked in combat.
"Everyone, you don't need to fight anymore, Naraku is dead, Now Humans, Demons, and Half-Demons can strive for peace and a better understanding of one another,"
The fighting ceased and the Demons who fought alongside Naraku all fled,
All of Kagome and Inuyasha's friends cheered on victory, none louder than Sango, who raised her Hiraikotsu (Giant Boomerang) in triumph.
Kagome then went and took the Shikon Jewel off of Naraku's corpse.
Suddenly, Inuyasha and Koga began trying to claim the jewel that had brought war, death, and untold misery to many as their own.
