KC came home her eyes red as tomatoes, crying puddles. She ran to her room to find Riley sitting there, his hands behind his back. He suddenly threw his arms forward.
" I heard about you and Jacob. I have an empty shoulder to cry on," Riley said. KC ran to Riley and jumped in his lap. She laid her head softly on his chest as he began running his fingers threw her hair. "KC," Riley said, his voice choking up.
"Yeah…" KC replied slowing stopping her tears.
"I've been wanting to tell you something all day. I love you" Riley put his hands back behind his back, pulling out a single rose. KC took it in awe. She locked eyes on Riley. She slowly brought her lips towards his, kissing him softly.
"I guess I love you too." She laid her head once more on Riley's chest, happy to be comforted by someone she loved.
