Jack and Ennis were lying in bed in their house at Brokeback Mountain. They were tired and spent after making love for five hours, but they were happy just being with each other. "Ennis." Jack said. "Yeah, Jack?" Ennis replied. "Y'know we've had our fights, right?" "Uh-huh." "Well, um, you still love me, right? 'Cause I still love you." Jack said. "Of course I still love you, Jack." Ennis replied. "You do?" "Yes." Ennis then sang their song to Jack.

After Ennis finish singing, he passionately yet sweetly kissed Jack on the lips. "I love you, Jack Twist. And I always will." Ennis said as they came up for air, smiling happily. Jack smiled happily, too, and said, "I love you, too, Ennis Del Mar. And I always will." "Jack." Ennis said as he grabbed a small box from his nightstand. "Yeah?" Jack said. "Will you marry me?" Ennis asked as he opened the box to reveal an engagement ring inlaid with a sky blue sapphire and chocolate smoky brown quartz. Jack gasped in happily excited delight and replied, "YES!" Ennis placed the ring on Jack's wedding ring finger. They kissed happily. "We'll discuss the wedding plans tomorrow. Okay?" "Okay, Ennis. I love you! Night!" "I love you, too! Night!" Jack and Ennis fell asleep in each other's arms with happy smiles on their faces.
