Chapter 1 – Introduction
Emily P.O.V.
Hi. My name is Emily Adams, and I live with my twin sister, Rose Adams, and my parents, Karen and Matt Adams. Rose is older than me by only a minute, and according to my parents, she is a "little angel," whereas I am commonly referred to as a mistake.
See, my parents didn't want twins, so they were surprised when I came out next. To make matters worse, the doctor that had given my mother her medicine for when she was in pain did some experiments that left me only 96% human. So my parents were even more shocked and disgusted when they saw I had little wings and cat ears. They asked the doctor to care for me, but when they took me home, they only nurtured me until I was old enough to walk, talk, and take care of myself.
So ever since I was 5, my parents have been abusing me physically and verbally. When I was 12, my birthday present from my dad was him raping me. But before I begin with my life, let me tell you a bit more about Rose and me.
Rose and I are fraternal twins. We're both 17, and we're in our junior year of high school. I have natural blonde hair, which I added electric blue streaks to, and cat ears that are also colored blonde. Rose, on the other hand, has naturally brown hair, and has no extra appendages. Our hair reaches down to about mid-back, and is very thick.
I'm about 5'7, while Rose is about 5'5. My wings are a lovely color of tawny brown with white splotches on them. I always have them hidden, and only Rose and my friends know about my wings and ears. I haven't told any of my friends about the abuse, and only Rose knows. I made her promise not to tell until I was ready, and she agreed. Rose may be the favored one, but I love her with all my heart and we could never hate each other.

okay, i have gotten two reviews, and have realized they are speaking the truth. So, just ignore this for now, (don't unfollow it though please) and I will rewrite the chapter. Maybe I can make it better. I've got another story going on, it's not published yet, but it will be soon. I will rewrite this chapter and try to make my character less of a Mary Sue.
