Okay, so I wrote this one-shot when I was at play rehearsal, and I was playing with masking tape; I was doing the same thing that's done in the story. But, I couldn't think of anything to write and then I came up with this, instead of playing with the lights or the auditorium intercom.

Using Masking Tape
Slowly and carefully, I watched her rip off several pieces of masking tape and stick their edges onto her fingers and palm. She was on the other end of the couch, while I was curled up in the corner, reading a case file.
"Honey bear, what on earth are you doing?"
"I wanted to get my creative juices flowing, so I figured I would tape my mouth shut and not talk. Then maybe I could find some inspiration for my next protest." Maureen replied, pulling a piece of tape over her pursed lips.
I could only smile, and I tried so hard to repress my laughter. Maureen raised a brow to me, and quickly pulled the tape off, wincing a little.
"Baby, can you draw lips on the tape, please?" She asked. I nodded.
She put two pieces of tape over her pursed lips, one diagonally criss-crossed over the other. I was wearing red lipstick, and I had been neglecting her a bit. Lightly, I pressed my lips against her taped ones, leaving a rogue lips print.
She mumbled something, but I knew what she said. "I love you, too, Honey bear."
