Just a short little oneshot about relationships with two characters. as its a oneshot in this sense Journeys end may or may not have happened, the results may have been different, its completely up to you. This was just something i thought of on the way to work this morning :L

The sky was navy in colour as the two friends allowed the peace and tranquillity of the unusual spot to soak them. Walking across the bronze armadillo of the Cardiff millennium centre Rose and Jack came to a stop at the barrier. Immediately Rose pushed herself up onto the barrier, bringing her legs round and sitting on the edge. Jack's hands flew to her waist in order to support her. There was a small step after the metal poles but beyond that was the almighty fall to the maze like streets below. It was a risk that Rose couldn't take, unlike Jack.

His fingertips rested against the skin of her waist, just below where her top rose up. It wasn't intentional, nor was it disliked. They soon rested against Rose's hands as she clasped the metal railing and leant back into him. In the eyes of any other person, as Jack kissed the top of her head it would seem like a loved up couple, spending a romantic moment together. To Rose and Jack it was just a friendly gesture between two people who had literally fought death together.

They watched the sky in silence, gazing up as the stars twinkled and the cloudless view grew darker. A silver shooting star crossed the velvet blanket of black.
"Make a wish." Jack whispered into Rose's hair. They closed their eyes and subconsciously wished for the same thing, but they would never tell. Wishes won't come true if they are verbalised. They both knew what each other were wishing for anyway.

A flash of blue in the night caught their eye and both of them looked up, Rose sitting forward a little.

"Do you think-?" she started turning to face him.

"He was wishing the same thing." Jack grinned, hugging her shoulders tightly and warmly.

As the night went on, the stars brightened and the cool air blew. In the distance a rush of wind collapsed on itself, whooshing around in the atmosphere. To anyone else it was unnoticeable but to those sitting upon the roof of the iconic building it was memorable.

And as a little blue police box settled into an alleyway in the streets of Cardiff, the millennium centre roof was empty, not a soul in sight. Where would they go next?

Into time, and space.
