"Our Lord will be pleased when he finds out," Rodolphus stated, with a smile on his face.
"Not so fast, love. We need to execute our plan first," she reminded him, her voice low. Rodolphus turned to his wife, grinning. He thought she looked gorgeous in her violet velvet, lit by the moonlight. But then again, she always looked beautiful to him. Especially when she had that devious smirk on her face.
"Greyback, guard the back door. If they try to escape, you know what to do," Bellatrix commanded, suddenly turning to the werewolf. "Lucius, you will come with us, of course."
Rodolphus noticed Malfoy bristling at the way she spoke to him, and he even opened his mouth to say something, but Rodolphus gave him a sharp look, shutting him up.
"Now!" Bella said, and Lucius wasted no time in blasting open the door. The three Death Eaters walked inside the well-lit room calmly.
The witch and wizard inside were already trembling in fear by the time they were face to face. A howl from Fenrir had already told the two that the back exit was not an option.
"Well what do we have here? A mudblood," she spat the word like it was filth, "and a half-blood traitor. What a nice little family."
"Pl-please, you don't have to do this," the wizard stuttered, clutching his wife's arm. Bella tilted her head slightly.
"Oh? Why do you think that?" she asked, her voice dangerously sweet. Rodolphus smiled. he knew this was going to be interesting. The witch in front of them bit her lip nervously. Rodolphus noticed they were painted a pretty pomegranate colour. Well, they would be blue soon enough, he thought.
"Vol- The Dark Lord wants a society that cannot exist," the witch began. "Just purebloods? That will never be possible. There will be too many problems and-" she cut herself off, seeing the terrified look in her husband's eyes.
Bella laughed. A short, cruel laugh that sent chills down the couple's spine. Then her expression suddenly turned serious.
"Do you know what you've done, dear? You've made a mistake. A very big mistake."
The witch had evidently realised this as well, because she was frozen with fear.
"Never insult The Dark Lord's cause. Ever. Is that understood?" Bella's voice was pitched higher and Rodolphus knew it did not bode well for the couple.
The witch nodded, afraid. Rodolphus knew how passionate Bella was towards their cause. She was right, the witch had made the biggest mistake of her life.
"Do you think it's an impossible idea?" she asked, her voice back to normal. The with did not reply. "Let me show you, then."
Bella's wand was pointed at the witch's throat now, and the latter's eyes had widened in fear.
"No, please, please..." the wizard begged, almost in tears now. Bella smiled
"Avada Kedavra!"
As soon as the green light hit her body, the witch slumped to the ground.
"Impossible?" Bella laughed. "Not quite. I prefer to call it natural selection."
It was easy for Rodolphus to remember why he had fallen in love her.
