A/N: The title says it all: a short and sweet scene between Sam and Freddie from a story that may or may not be published =). Please enjoy!
DISCLAIMER: I don't own iCarly. Does anyone of us here does? No? Didn't think so.
It was late, way late into the hours of the night, but neither of them cared as they sat out on the fire escape, watching the last hours of their first year anniversary linger away. Sam played with the laces of her converse before looking up to speak.
"Freddie."
"Huh?"
"In five years from now, where do you see us?"
He took a long glace at the sky before replying. "Hm…I don't know."
"Mm."
"What?"
"Is that a bad thing?"
"What do you mean?"
She shrugged. "Well, I don't really know where I see us, either."
"Mm, well it can't be that surprising. I never saw us getting together in the first place."
"True. If I would've ever thought I'd fall for a dweeby looking nerd like you I would've slapped myself silly."
"Thanks for that," he said dryly.
"Oh uh, no offense."
"Sure. But seriously though...it's hard to imagine being with someone else. So in five years, ten, or even fifty or whatever, I'm pretty sure we'll still be like this." And he grabbed her hand for emphasis.
She smiled. "Are you sure about that, Freddo? About having someone who drives you so crazy by your side for the rest of your life?"
"Ehh, not really. But since it's you, I guess I could put up with it," he wrapped an arm around her waist and brought her closer. She was too comfortable to object, so instead she sat there, playing with the collar of his shirt.
"Wow..."
Sam looked up. "What?"
"I just realized something. We'll probably have kids and everything one day. Like, could you imagine: three or for...or maybe even five of us running around? And they'll probably be little versions of you and torment me all the time. Or worse...they'll have the traits of my mother! Oh God, please don't let that happen. And what if-"
But Sam simply shook her head and grabbed his neck, pulling him into a deep kiss. She felt the curve of his lips and decided to pull apart once he finally stayed quiet.
"What was that for?" he smiled.
"To shut you up. You're less annoying when you don't talk."
"Well..." he raised a mischievous brow, "what would you do if I kept on talking?"
She rolled her eyes but decided to play along. "This," and she kissed him deeper than before, and he held on tighter than before, and they stayed like that. Happy, and in love. For however long time allowed.
A/N: Yup, short and sweet, I hope it was an enjoyable read! I'm not sure if I'll develop this more...but we'll just see where this goes!
