Delos1108: Hi everyone, I know it has been a while. Well I am a crew member of a steampunk ship. Durring this festive season I got an idea for something. This is my sister and mine renditon of this famous poem. Hope you enjoy and feel free to share with family members. :D
Disclaimer: I own nothing!
T'was the night before Christmas and all through the ship,
not a creature was stirring not even the wisps.
As our stocking hung by the boiler with care,
we waited and hoped for Saint Nick to be here.
We all nestled down deep in our cots,
as visions of plans, danced in our thoughts.
With Ama in her kerchief, and we in our caps,
some of us began to take small winter naps.
When all of a sudden there rose such a clatter,
we fell out of bed wondering what was the matter.
We stormed up the stairs and onto the deck,
As we stumbled on up, we screamed "What the heck!"
And so came a laugh from somewhere behind
we spun on our heels to give him a piece of our mind.
Our guns now drawn, we tried to take aim
but noticed a man by most famous of name.
He gave us a smile as he tossed us our gifts
he glanced at the guns but he didn't look miffed.
We holstered our weapons and pulled out some ale,
So Nick sat for a bit and told us some tales.
Here we all were full of merry and mirth
on this beautiful night of a little baby's birth.
As out chick' walkers ran up and down the deck,
we danced about merrily, keeping in step.
Mounting his chopper, Saint Nick did say,
"My good friends have a perfect Christmas Day."
The night began waning; Saint Nick took his leave,
so we all headed down to get some more sleep.
With dreams of great bounty, treasure and gold,
we tried to settled in away from the cold.
But Ama did yell "Put the dishes away!"
We all knew it was going to be a great Christmas Day.
