I don't own the boys…

Just spending a moment with them.

A Thought Filled Gift

By Pegbronco

Hutch had patiently and carefully wrapped the gift.

He made sure that the bow was placed just right.

Now it sits under the small tabletop Christmas tree that Starsky had brought over.

Hutch now sat and looked at it.

He wasn't sure how the gift was going to be received.

He had thought about this for sometime, but still he was unsure how his friend would react.

He sat nervous.

Starsky sat next to him looking at the gift.

Hutch picked it up and slowly handed it over to his friend.

His heart jumped slightly.

Starsky smiled at his friend then down to the small package.

Hutch silently nodded at him to open the gift.

His breath catching with anticipation.

Starsky slowly removed the bow then the delicately wrapped paper.

He opened the box.

He sat looking down at the gift.

His breath left him momentarily as he slowly caressed his fingers across it.

As he remembered to breathe he looked over at his beloved friend.

Hutch sat nervously with his heart aching for a reaction.

Starsky looked back down at the gift. He slowly lifted it out of the box and held it.

Again a look over to Hutch.

A look of astonishment mixed with questions of how.

Hutch slowly took it from him and placed it around his friend's neck.

A small tear escaped both men as a smile emerged.

His father's scarf looked great on him.
