The story starts when Ash turned ten, but my character will start her journey in a different region and she'll start traveling in the Sinnoh region a day before Ash started his journey, and she'll travel the Sinnoh region a little before Ash goes to Sinnoh, so when Ash starts his journey she'll bump into him and maybe travel with him sometimes. My character looks like my profile picture, I Don't Own Pokémon or its Characters, I wish I did. -_-;

Day 1: My new start

My name is Kotone Ayame Son and tomorrow is my 10th birthday, it's also the day I can start my Pokémon journey, but before I get carried away I should tell you a bit about myself. I live in the Sinnoh region, in a town called Sandgem with my mother. Her name is Haruka, my father was a Pokémon trainer and my mother was a coordinator. They started to travel together after mom watched one of his battles, while they were traveling they started to have feelings for one another, and the rest is history. My father had died when I was 5 from a disease that couldn't be cured, after he died we kept his team of Pokémon. They helped care for me when I was smaller along with my mother's Pokémon. To remember him bye, I carry around the first gym badge he won along with the first contest ribbon my mom won, on a silver chain around my neck. The gym badge is from a region far away from here, my mom said that it was from the region he was born in. The badge looks like a sky blue feather, my mom's contest ribbon is blue with light green trimming, in the blue part there are lighter blue circles, and at the center there's a gold piece that has what looks like a crown on top. My mom said she got that ribbon in a contest in her home region, Hoenn... Oh! It's 10 o'clock I'd better go to sleep or else I won't be able to choose the Pokémon I want to start my journey with, goodbye!

7:00 A.M. The next day

The house is a two bedroom with a warm feeling to it, the dining room is attached to the kitchen, and in that kitchen is a woman in her mid-thirties who is currently cooking breakfast. To the right past the door way is the living room and front door that leads to a porch, to the left of the dining room is a door that leads to the backyard and another porch. On the couch in the livingroom is an Espeon, still sound asleep. Entering the house from the backyard, holding a basket of Pecha and Oran berries, is a shiny 's mother, Harukaturned around when she heard the Gardevoir 'Sakura' set down the basket of berries she'd sent her to pick for breakfast, while the Espeon 'Aurora' still hasn't moved from the couch.

"Thank you Sakura. Can you wake up Aurora and Kotone? We don't want Kotone to go before eating." She asked politely.

"Gar Gardevoir" She walked to the back of the couch to wake the dozing Sun Pokémon, the Espeon didn't seem particularly happy about being woken up, as she jumped off the couch her violet eyes glared at the Embrace Pokemon before trotting into the kitchen. The Embrace Pokémon watched the violet fured Pokémon walk away with her nose in the air, shaking her head at the psychic type she made her way up stairs. "Thank you, Sakura." Haruka thanked her again when she felt the Espeon rub against her legs like a Glameow, the physic type was hoping she'd give her one of the pecha berries in her hand. She turned back around to finish breakfast as Sakura was at the top of the stairs. "Garde Gardevoir"

Sakura went to the door at the end of the hall, opening the door to Kotone's room. The room's walls were painted a baby blue color, the floor was a dark hard wood, a bay window with cream color curtains, to the left was a twin bed. The blankets had multi-colored pokéballs printed on them, there was a conjoined bathroom to the right and a desk to the right of the door, on the desk was a computer, and iPod, on the wall at the head of the bed is a shelf with Pokémon dolls, a Delcatty, Houndour, Pikachu, Vulpix, and a Lucario. A stuffed Eevee, that looks like it was taken extra care of, was sitting on the bed.

Sakura walked up to the bed in an attempt to wakeup the lump that rose and fell steadily, while the Embrace Pokémon was trying to awaken the young girl her trainer was probably already finished fixing breakfast. "I'm up, I'm up! I'll be down in 10 minutes." A hand shot out of the mound of blankets, drowsily waving of the Gardevoir. As Kotone rose from her bed, her hair was sticking everywhere as her eyes blearily focused on her room. "Gar Garde Gardevoir" The Embrace Pokémon smiled before exiting to help her trainer as the ten year old readied herself for the day.

"Is Kotone up?" Haruka asked her oldest Pokémon as she descended the stairs. "Gardevoir Garde" Sakura nodded yes as the violet fured Pokémon hopped onto the counter, tired of waiting for her food she started to devour the leftover pecha berries. "Good, we wouldn't want her to be late and go without breakfast." She picked up her Espeon along with her food, setting them on the floor. "Sakura, could you set the table please?"

"Gardevoir" Sakura grabbed the plates and started to set the table for her trainer and her daughter as the said trainer walked up the stairs. "I'll be back I'm going to go change my clothes."

(Kotone's P.O.V)

I'm so excited I'm practically bursting with energy, I'm finally going to become a Pokémon trainer. And I already know what Pokémon I want. The lab isn't open till 7:30 A.M so I have plenty of time to get to the lab.

I could smell my mom's cooking when I went downstairs, I'll miss her cooking when I'm traveling with my Pokémon. I got to the end of the stairs when mom came down, her dark blue almost black hair was tied in a low ponytail, she wore a light blue jumper with black flats and a black belt around her waist. "Morning momma~" Mom looked up and smiled at me. "Good morning, sweetheart. When you finish eating you can go to Prof. Rowan's lab."

"Kay, thanks mom!" My mom's pancakes were the best cause she puts Oran or Pecha berries inside them, something my dad loved cause his mom did the same, so my mom still makes them how he preferred.

"Do you know what Pokémon your going to choose?" My mom asked me again, three weeks ago she started to ask what Pokémon I want but I want it to be a surprise. "Yeah, I know what I'm going to get..."

"Well, which one do you want?" My mom asked with excitement twinkling in her forest green eyes, I had to push Aurora away when she set her sights on my pancakes. She's so spoiled, not to mention she likes to steal my food when she's already eaten. "It's a secret~" I couldn't hide my amusement when my mom looked disappointed, I'm not about to blab that easily. "Hey!" I shouted when my pancake floated to the psychic type sitting on the couch smugly as the pancake reached her.

"Well you should go if you want to be there early, make sure to come back to show me and the other Pokémon which one you choose before saying good-bye." Mom picked up the plates ignoring how her Espeon stole my food. Fine she can have it, I was finished eating anyways.

"Okay!" I went to the door to put on my hightop converse, they were black with dark purple laces. "Okay I'm off, I'll be back in a bit see ya~!" I stepped onto the front porch before running down the road to Prof. Rowan's lab. "Be careful!" My mom said from the front porch, I turned and waved before continuing. I know she sometimes worries for me after my father died, so I don't mind her being a mother hen… at least not much.

"I can't wait to get my Pokémon! This is the start of my new adventure and I can't wait!"
