Mystic: Well, after grueling months of research…
Harry: More like pure laziness mixed with losing the drive to write.
Mystic: Hey, it came back when I thought up of the idea for The Insanity Corner.
Harry: True.
Mystic: As I was saying, after grueling months of research, the Harry Potter/X-Men Evolution fic Bound by Brotherhood, Forged in Fire is back and (hopefully) better than ever.
Harry: Didn't you come up with an idea for bringing this series together with a few others?
Mystic: Yeah, but I'm not discussing that right now. That can wait for a bit. That, or go read The Insanity Corner for the info.
Harry: So, what's new with this version of the series compared to the original 2 volumes and what you had up long ago?
Mystic: Well, for starters, the original author did grant me permission to do a re-release of the 2 volumes he has out. Although, the last chapter in the second volume was written up by me and I 'introduced' a few twists in it that'll be explored in some of the prequel chapters. Anyways, here's a quick look behind the curtain…
1) No Harry Potter the X-Men in the opening chapters. Said opening chapters are reserved of laying the groundwork for what's to come. Kicking things off will be the Transformers (from way before the 'Great War' that was shown in the 1984 TV series) as they ally themselves with an Alteran that will be known throughout history as Merlin on developing a machine that would gather the fuel needed to sustain the Cybertronian race, only for one of their own to build one on the planet Terra (later to be known as Earth).
2) With The Fallen's defeat, comes the legendary city of Atlantis. Within the city will be people from such shows as Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh Yu-Gi-Oh GX, the movie Spawn, and video games such as Final Fantasy VII, Breath of Fire III, Spawn Devil May Cry (and hints from the previous Transformers/Stargate storyline. This arc will end with the Autobot ship known as the Ark landing on Earth after Atlantis sinks.
3) And, for those who noticed that Kate in the two BBFF fics has the same powers as Wolverine, the 'one-shot' storyline arc will explain why that is.
4) With that done, the show can really start, as Harry Neville learn a secret about themselves, along with the truth behind their friends and 'gear up' for the coming battle with Voldemort under a legendary sorceress.
5) With new recruit Ginny Weasley, who possesses an electrical power so massive that she usually keeps it in the shape of a phoenix, Harry Neville learn that this is not their 'first run' on Earth, as the three discover Atlantis.
6) Another of the 'one-shot' storyline arcs, Harry uses the technology from Atlantis to synthesize a 'cure' for the cellular destabilization that brought down a legendary World War II hero.
7) The techno-mutant Forge presents a new gaming console that inevitably unleashes the most feared demon in all of recorded history and a winged reptilian legend.
8) After their respective secrets are out, Harry Neville, at the behest of their sorceress teacher, head to the American capitol for their tests and not only have to fight their way there, but uncover a secret even older than Atlantis and revealing a new world to them.
9) With everything in place, all the mutants head to Hogwarts to prepare them for Voldemort's arrival, only for them to lose Harry to a landmine placed by Dumbledore.
10) All alone, Harry finds out that there's one thing left to get, and works alongside a fallen hero to get the thing needed to return to life.
11) When he returns to life, Harry learns that Death Eaters have captured the X-Men and so must work with those who 'threw' him to the wolves to bring the X-Men back, along with a mechanical alien who takes the form of the destroyed Fenrir motorcycle and two teens from a secluded area in New York.
12) When Mystique learns that Apocalypse has returned with the help of the genetic 'clone' of a future mutant, said future mutant and a legendary Cybertronian warrior comes in to help with The First One's destruction.
13) The X-Men team up with the Fantastic Four and Captain America's Avengers, along with Latverian ruler Doctor Doom and the mercenary Deadpool to save Magneto, Xavier and young mutant Franklin Richards from the grasp of Onslaught.
14) Harry then becomes temptation for the demonic entity known only as the Shadow King, who sees Harry's power over the shadows a threat to his own existence.
15) A SHIELD traitor gives plans for a mutant policing unit to a mutant-hating militia group, causing the expanded X-Men to pool their powers to end the threat.
16) Destiny finally arrives for Voldemort and, surprisingly Draco Malfoy, as Harry Neville fulfill their parts in the prophesies to end the threat of not only Voldemort, but the awakened Omega Weapon.
17) The first in a four-part storyline involving Mr. Sinister, the genetic specialist takes the DNA from Cyclops Jean Grey to create a body for the spectral form of Apocalypse, which inevitably rebels against him.
18) Part two of the Mr. Sinister storyline. The actions taken by Sinister unleash a dark cosmic force in Jean that was sealed up by Xavier threatening Earth with annihilation.
19) A year after Jean sacrificed herself to stop the Dark Phoenix from destroying the Earth, the X-Men and the Brotherhood reunite to rescue a young Japanese mutant from the hands of humans who take mutant body parts organs and graft them onto themselves
20) During the year away from the X-Men and his genetic daughter Laura 'X-23' Kinney, Wolverine travels to Japan at the request of long-time friend and World War II comrade Captain Steve Rogers to investigate the dealings of A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics), running across Avengers co-founder financial backer Tony 'Iron Man' Stark and legendary vampiric Daywalker Eric 'Blade' Brooks during his investigation.
21) Part three in the Mr. Sinister storyline, a clone of Jean Grey unleashes supernatural power on the world, with a more benevolent version of the Phoenix Force housed within the future daughter of Cyclops Jean Grey.
22) The final chapter in the Mr. Sinister storyline. Archangel's father, with unintended help from Sinister, creates a serum to permanently repress the mutant gene. On the 'other side, Sinister has a clone of Magneto form a new Brotherhood to incite the humans into forcing the mutants to take the cure.
23) The final chapter in the Bound by Brotherhood, Forged in Fire and the longest storyline. The entire Marvel universe, along with a SHIELD-backed combat team, gets brought into a war between two alien cybernetic factions when a ship carrying one of the factions awakens in time to combat the enemy faction.
Also, been thinking of some additions to the story, so, when the 'X-Men' section is up and running, I will bring in the 'Merc with a Mouth' - Wade 'Deadpool' Wilson and possibly have the Masamune that Sephiroth is known for using be the same Masamune that can kill Wolverine. Expect a bit of lewdness to come into play when Deadpool arrives (I blame Dead Maelstrom by Rider Paladin for that particular idea).
Mystic: You guys catch all of that?
Harry: I think they caught all of that.
Mystic: Anyways, stick around for more chapters. In fact, the next chapter for the series will be purely centered on my version of the Council of Primes from the Transformers franchise and dip into a little bit of the Transformers history I came up with just for this fic.
