"I swear this is nature's way of redressing the balance," declared Jack as he held his fifth daughter in his arms.

"Got fifteen generations of male lineage to make up for," replied an amused Ondine tiredly from the bed.

"Are you suggesting we have ten more children?" laughed Jack incredulously.

"Heavens no!"

When they had returned to this magical world a week / seven years later, it had been with a heavily pregnant Ondine and four children in tow. It hadn't been the plan – though when had anything ever gone to plan for him? – as they had decided a year ago when Gable arrived that they were happy with four.

Fate had dealt them a different hand though.

Ondine bit her bottom lip as she admired the sight of her husband holding the newest arrival. He was a brilliant father. As he pressed a gentle kiss to Bria's forehead, she knew without a doubt she had found her right Jack.

Reaching out to clasp his cheek with the palm of her hand, she brushed a thumb over the stubble on his jaw.

Leaning in to kiss her, Jack pulled back when the little door opened and two little heads popped around. Even though it was in the middle of the night, it would appear that the other Robinson children sensed another sister had arrived in the night.

"Is it here yet Daddy?" asked Della in an exaggerated whisper.

"She's here sweetheart," confirmed Ondine.

Lissa pushed the door open fully and four little bodies piled in. Well, three bodies ran and the baby was carried, albeit a little awkwardly by his eldest Merry. Gable was grizzling, having no doubt been woken by her eager siblings in their excitement.

As their children moved toward them, Jack deposited Bria safely in his wife's arms and readily reached for Gable, giving Lissa a boost as his eldest two daughters scrambled up onto the bed, positioning themselves around their mother for the best opportunity to view the newest arrival.

As Gable returned to sleep in his arms, Jack looked at the scene before him and was overwhelmed by a sense of all encompassing love. He never thought this would, or even could, happen to him.

He felt like the luckiest bastard alive.

Finito.
