Chapter One :
The sounds around his ear fur made the small tom shudder.
"Shh, Lichenkit! Nettlekit still needs to open his eyes." a soft, warm voice meowed quietly. A small, fluffy beside him scrambled at the moss underneath them.
"Tell him to hurry up then, Shy Fawn! Please! I want to go outside of the nursery for once!" a new voice complained. Nettlekit sighed, and slowly blinked open his eyes. He heard a light gasp.
"Nettlekit! You have such beautiful eyes!" His mother commented. Nettlekit narrowed his eyes shaking away the praise. He was grown enough to not be treated like a puny she-kit! Nettlekit struggled to his paws, the moss underneath squishy and moist. The tom looked down at his paws, they were white with small ginger patches. "You look much like the mystical Fallen Leaves!" his mother added, licking his left ear.
Nettlekit shook his head. "Don't!" he complained. The tom stepped gently out of the nest, flicking his tail to his sisters, Petalkit and Lichenkit. Petalkit was a pure white female with violet orbs, while Lichenkit was more like their mother, a dark gray with olive eyes.
"Oh, wow Nettlekit! You have blueeyes! None of us have blue eyes!" Petalkit exclaimed, her jaw dropping. Nettlekit rolled his orbs. "You said you wanted to explore, right?" the small tom said, agitated. They both nodded at once. "Alright then, lets go." Nettlekit led his sisters out quickly, the light stopped them though. Petalkit ran straight into Nettlekit.
"What are you waiting for, lets go!" Lichenkit whined, leaping in front of Nettlekit. The tom followed her, head low to the ground in embarrassment. The tom padded along, following his sisters clear scent trail, before head-butting something. Netlekit backed up, staring up at the cat.
"Sor- sorry!" Nettlekit apologized. The warrior was huge, towering above his head. The female lowered her head, so she could see Nettlekit clearer.
"Your Nettlekit, right?" The female asked. Nettlekit nodded. "Im Brightwater." Nettlekit grinned slightly. The warrior was beautiful. Her body was long and slim, coated with gray fur, and darker stripes went along her sides. Brightwater smiled, before raising her head again and padding away.
