Feeling
Takeru sat on his bike, looking up at the clear sky with an unreadable look in his eyes.
"Takeru-kun?" he saw that Hikari joined him but he couldn't answer her. Ever since he got up in the morning after a nightmare that he couldn't explain, he felt strange. He hadn't seen Miyako on his way to the school nor Daisuke, who was once again in the same class as he and Hikari-chan. For the brunette to be late, it wasn't a surprise but... why did he feel as horrible as when he lost Patamon? He frowned, causing the child of Light to sigh.
"He will be fine..."
"I hope so..." the blonde sighed. "... I... if he is in danger and I wasn't there to help - protect - him... I ..."
"It would not be your fault, you didn't know." Hikari scolded him.
As they mounted their bikes on the stands at their school, the girl kept complaining over having to wake up her lazy brother nearly an hour ago but he wasn't listening. Her problems with Taichi-san seemed to small when compared to his nightmare...
... in that exact moment, their D-3's began to resonate, making Takeru's blood chill.
"Oh? Hold on, we should... Takeru!"
He didn't listen to her calling him to come back. He couldn't.
Daisuke needed him. Nothing else mattered as he ran, planning to check everywhere just to find him. He would find him.
After school, Hikari met up with the older Chosen Children, minus the younger blonde.
"Where is Takeru?" Yamato questioned. The girl smiled sadly as she looked down at her pink D-3, which was beeping red as a sign of danger. Koushiro was busily trying to locate Daisuke and the rest of the group but... was it too late? The female brunette didn't want to believe in that but if the sounds coming from her digivice were anything to go by...
"Looking for Daisuke-kun."
Takeru was breathing hard, now at the beach as he stared out at the horizon, the now sunset making him feel ill.
"Daisuke... I will find you. I promise. I will not give up."
Patamon, who had been in his bag during the whole desperate search, looked up at him with sad, sky blue eyes. He didn't want to say it. He couldn't tell his beloved partner the possible truth.
That his boyfriend might already be dead.
