This is post first movie, has nothing to do with the seconde for i wrote this 3 years ago (THIS IS A TEASER) Their lives were perfect, with the dragons defending Berk they are rearly attacked, but now a threat (or challenge) from within the village puts Hiccup and Astrid's relationship and futur in peril! will most likly change to M in futur chapters (I HAVE A VRY DIRTY MIND)

Bad News

A 17 year old Astrid awoke to a beautiful morning, which was a rarity on the island of Berk, with a cheerful mood she went about her mourning routine sharpening her axe, verifying her armour and Stormfly's saddle, went outside to give breakfast to the deadly naddler and fasten the saddle on her.

After completing her routine she went back in to get her own breakfast of egg's and lamb meat. As Astrid headed out the door she was stopped by her mother " Astrid dear, your father and I need to talk to you" Astrid groaned " Mother can't this wait, i'm already late for the Academi training" her mother was having none of it " we are talking now young lady! It will only take a few minutes" Astrid seeing she was stuck went to the living room and sat on the couch " what is it?" she asked her parents, "Your father and I decided to make a marriage contract between you and one of our friends in Cape Hopeless, he'll be here in 3 months for the wedding" her mother stated like it was nothing.

Astrid's jaw hit the floor how could her parents to this to her, she couldn't believe it "but...but" she was cut off by her father "no buts Astrid, your 17 and you need a good husband" he said

Astrid's rage couldn't be described, she was the most feared of all the young vikings, the most skilled at hunting, and her parents were simply going to marry her away to someone she never met, she looked towards her parents with hate in her eyes "this conversation is over for now" she firmly stated before running out the door jumping onto Stormfly and flew off to the cove to think and maybe just maybe calm down.

Many hours later Astrid was in deep thought and was filled with regret, she was trying to think of a way to announce it to Hiccup, how to she could get out of the situation and more than any other she was regretting telling Hiccup of waiting to officially propose in front of witnesses. Suddenly a thought came to her... what if the chef could help her... "yes" she whispered to herself, the only book containing the old laws was at the chef's house. It was decided first stop in the mourning was Hiccup's house for now she needed to build a shelter for the night which would have been easy if Stormfly wouldn't have gone off hunting.
