Disclaimer: I am huge fan of Supernatural and NCIS. Unfortunately, I don't own either.

Roadhouse Encounter

Jo sat and stared at the sight set before her. The road house was filled with hunters, as usual, but in the back corner was a man that she had never seen in here before. One glance told her he wasn't a hunter but he wasn't a civilian either. She settled on cop with military influence. Something about the way he surveyed the room, noting the patrons, finding the exits, lead her to believe that. He was on duty too. She glanced at the glass of water in front of him and the way his gaze flickered to the alcohol on the shelves. He was definitely on duty. That put her a little on edge. The ways of a hunter rarely go over well with police.

He caught her stare and smiled. He knew that she wasn't a fed but she didn't carry herself like a civilian. He tried to write it off as being a bartender and having to be able to deal with drunken red necks but even that didn't quite cover it. She could take care of herself. He stared at the way she confidently walked up to the two drunken idiots squaring off in the center of the bar and pulled them apart. She could definitely take care of herself.

After a long time of sitting and observing, Very Special Agent Tony DiNozzo finally resolved to interview the blonde waitress, just in case she happened to know anything about the current goose chase lead Gibbs had sent him to follow. Of course, he was only being thorough; it had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that she was gorgeous.

"Excuse me, but…" Tony began, charming smile firmly in place, as he pulled out his badge and a photograph, "has this man passed through here recently?"

A/N: This is a one shot. I will not be continuing it. I don't write case fics so this is as far as it's going. Please review.
