There's nothing you can do or say to change the things I've done,
The countless lives I took with ease extinguishing the sun.
The way I smiled and laughed,
You've never seen such evil.
When I lied to you that day,
Said my memories had been stolen away.
I never once stopped to think about all I could do,
With a Time-Lord and his Tardis.
You accepted me with open arms because you believed in her,
You told me how much you loved her and always would.
It was with a heavy heart I saved you time again,
For you would always look at her and I was only your friend.
We saved the world, the universe,
But never did you stop to think about your dreaded curse.
I don't know why you always took humans,
Because you knew they would whither and die.
So on and on our travels went,
And I never wanted them to end.
But end they did and die I did,
And everything started again.
Then you left me on my own,
On a space station a million miles from home.
I cried and cried at what I had lost,
And vowed to find you at any cost.
When I lied to you that day,
Said my memories had been stolen away.
I never once stopped to think about all I could do,
With a Time-Lord and his Tardis.
I found some friends and moved around,
I left no footprints and made no sound.
I protected you from prying eyes,
And kidded myself they were all lies.
I watched and waited for so many years,
Until all I had left was a worthless key.
I believe that you will return,
Sometime, somehow and I will be free.
I watched myself with you on a cold winter day,
Laughing and joking and happy.
I couldn't let them see me for fear of the timeline,
And I walked away to wait for your next visit.
When I lied to you that day,
Said my memories had been stolen away.
I never once stopped to think about all I could do,
With a Time-Lord and his Tardis.
Finally my moment came,
Your hand blinked and I was sane.
I never imagined that you would run,
From me of all people who you loved like a son.
But run you did and that time you killed me,
Lying on the ground for all to see.
I met your new companion and asked about Rose,
And when we hugged I leapt for joy.
For even though you wore a different face,
You were my Doctor, in time and space.
You dismissed my questions with a wave of your hand,
And I accepted that, I was so glad to be back.
We saved the world and made the rocket fly,
I told him why I wanted to die.
I thought it was all going to be alright,
But with the Doctor you should never get ahead of yourself.
When I lied to you that day,
Said my memories had been stolen away.
I never once stopped to think about all I could do,
For you changed me from a murderer into a hero,
And I both love and hate you for that.
