RETRIBUTION

It has ended.

He is now the new captain of the 6th Infantry Division of Gotei 13: Captain Abarai Renji has defeated and killed his former captain, the late head of the prestigious Kuchiki Clan. Both he and his zanpakutou are howling in victory . . .

Her brother's death was only known to Rukia after coming back from a week long mission at the 312th District of Kusajishi- the most dangerous of the district in Rukongai. She was welcomed by a mass of mourners all in black- not the typical shikahusho- kimono. When the news of her brother's death reached her she did not believed it, at least, not after seeing his limp body on a casket.

She did not cry, not in public. She only did when she's in solace of her own room and at Sode no Shirayuki's comforting presence. The Kuchiki's should not be vulnerable. That's what her brother always tells her.

A month after everything's calmed down and Byakuya buried, Rukia assumed the role of the 29th head of the Noble house of the Kuchiki due to both her brother's memory and pride for his name and the persistence of the elders. But that doesn't mean the vessels are happy about the loss of their squadron. Because of the said loss the family's status down and Rukia wouldn't allow that. Her brother worked hard for it and there's no chance in hell she'd just give up on it. Not for the family that loved and took care of her.

This way of thinking ultimately resulted in Rukia challenging and killing Captain Abarai on a battle. As she defeated him with only her shikai all those who were watching had their mouths gaped. She's captain level at shikai, this is what her brother's been working hard for- keeping her low profile on the ranks.

But his death had resulted the reverse of what he's been aiming for.

The blood of Abarai Renji can be found as splotches of red on her immaculate white sword. She killed her friend and felt nothing but contempt. Blood is indeed thicker than water. . .

Everyone heared of what she said before flash-stepping away from the scene and long before taking the seat of the 6th Battalion's Captain. . .

"This is my Retribution . . ."
