Pairings: Seychelles/Russia

Author: Hoshira/Doitsu'sStoryteller

Summary: I surrender who I've been for who you are. Nothing makes me stronger than your fragile heart. If I had only felt how it feels to be yours I would have known what I've been living for all along.

Ivan shifted his body away from Samira's slightly; afraid that if he didn't, she would know how much wanted her despite how cool he'd tried to play the situation earlier. The dark-skinned female lay on her side and he was curled up behind her.

He reluctantly allowed her to pretend she was asleep because he wasn't sure what he'd say to her if they acknowledged she was awake.

He could use vodka, but he'd decided to not drink the wonderful liquid yet again that morning, knowing Samira wouldn't like the idea of him drinking it. To sneak a glass in would have been a good idea, but he wasn't sure that'd be a good idea, either.

Besides, he didn't really want to leave his bed as long as Samira was in it. Being so close to her warm, soft body after enduring winter's embrace for so many miserable years was a sweet kind of torture.

Violet eyes glinting in the dark of his room, he moved his hand from her bare shoulder and smoothed it over her hair, then let the backs of his fingers rest against her cheek.

He thought he heard her breathing quicken, but there was no other sign of movement from her. She still wanted to feign sleep. Fine with him.

He wondered what exactly England had said to her after the last G8 meeting, but she hadn't wanted to talk about it making his blood boil and his innocent smile look forced.

He had been angry with her response.

England might have been smarter and stronger than him, but the Brit was still a foolish old empire. He despised the idea of anyone making her feel badly. He wanted to selfishly keep her to his side, protect her from anything and anyone who would dare raise a hand against his little flower.

She was too good for the ugly cracks that constantly shadowed her every step.

And England rehashing the past she obviously didn't want to relive angered him. And then the idiot had the nerve to assume what she wanted.

Still, he was seeing a problem in their relationship already. Frowning, Ivan held her close and buried his face in her hair, relishing in the feel and taste of the kiss they shared earlier. If she had left like everyone else life would be unbearable.

No…he couldn't let this little flower slip from his fingers, not everything that's happened between them.

And deep down he knew that she felt the same way. Thinking of losing her was painful. But it was just another pain he had to endure because the alternative—having her so close but not being able to see, touch, and feel her—was not an option.

Whispering a few words in his native tongue, he pressed his face into her neck and draped his arm over her waist. Ivan smile when he felt her small fingers weave through his. He squeezed them.

What they shared was just the beginning of their turning page.
