Hello, everyone! This is my attempt at a songfic done with lyrics that I wrote myself. The name of the song is "We are the Sky and Sea." I hope you like it and reviews are always appreciated and welcome.

"We are the Sky and Sea"
Helen walked down the long halls of the sanctuary as the first rays of morning light came through the windows. She walked slowly and enjoyed the quiet that came over the sanctuary during the early morning hours. As she got closer to the library, she heard a beautiful melody being played on her baby grand piano. There was also a handsome tenor voice singing along to the hauntingly beautiful melody. She stood quietly in the doorway and listened to the song he was singing...
"fear keeps me from you ,
separated as the earth keeps the sky from the sea,
longing to hold you and keep you near me,
the sky weeps for the sea,
the tides of the sea ebb in and out longing for the sky..."
Helen took a few steps forward and saw that the owner of the beautiful voice and melody was none other than Nikola to her surprise. She noticed a glass of red wine right next to the sheets of music that he was turning pages in with his long, slim, fingers. Nikola continued to play the melody and sang again in his tenor voice...
You and I are the sky and sea,
with vibrant blue eyes we stare lovingly,
yet fear and words always keep us apart,
never knowing what lies in each other's heart...
"Nikola, may I join you? I did not know that you could sing like that and that you could play the piano so well." Helen said as she smiled and sat on the piano bench next to Nikola.
"Genius, remember?" Nikola smirked as he placed his long fingers back onto the black and ivory keys. Helen placed her delicate hands on top of his and smiled up at him with her beautiful blue eyes shining only for him. The melody filled the library once again and Helen's soprano voice matched with his tenor perfectly...
maybe one day the words will be said without a heart filled with dread,
the tides will calm and the wind will cease,
the earth will no longer separate the sky and sea,
and then you will always be here beside me...
Helen leaned her head on his shoulder gently as he played and slowly brought her soft lips to his in a passionate kiss. Nikola brought his hands up and smoothed her dark raven hair away from her face. They stayed like this for a few minutes as they surrendered to the passion of the kiss and the touch of each other's skin. They gently parted and stared deeply into each other's eyes as if they were finally seeing the other for the first time. Nikola placed his hands back on the piano keys and smirked at Helen as he began to play the melody again.
"Helen, I guess you can call me the genius with magic hands." Nikola said as he slowly brought his hands across the keys and leaned in for a quick kiss as he played the melody again...

Just as Nikola and Helen were finishing the song, Henry, Kate, and Will walked by the library and stopped when they heard two voices singing.
"Nikola and Magnus are singing and playing the piano together?" Will said as he looked at Henry and Kate.
"Let them have their fun, Will. Let's go and leave them to their little serenade." Henry laughed as he stepped away from the doorway.
"I thought I would never see the day.." Kate said as she followed Henry and Will down the hallway.
