"Ron, what in Merlin's name are you doing?"
"Oh, nothing dear, nothing at all."
"It doesn't look like it to me."
"Fine. I'm searching e-bay for a present, okay?"
"Oh really? For whom, may I ask?"
"Um…for Ginny. Yeah, uh, her. Yup."
"Why would you give Ginny a gift? It's not her birthday, Christmas, or anything!"
"Er… 'cause I wanna?"
"Hmmmm….okay. I still don't get it."
"Whatever. Can you help me?"
"Yeah, what are you looking for?"
"Something to decorate her's and Harry's house, you know? Something really beautiful, but not too fancy. You get it?"
"Okay. So you go to that search box right there, and you type whatever your searching for, just like you told me. Be precise, though. When you're done, click 'search'."
"This box over here?"
"Yeah, that's the one."
"Okay, there."
"So you see those pictures? Click whichever one interests you. Oh my god, look at that one! It's soooo pretty! You should really get that. Look, it's simple and elegant. I know I would love it!"
"Okay, so it's two-hundred-fifty dollars. How many gallons is that?"
"Uh….wait, let me calculate."
Mutters under her breath.
"That's one-hundred-twenty-five gallons."
"Oh my. At least it's worth it! "
"Yeah, that's true. I know that she is gonna love it!"
"I hope soo…."
The next morning, after Ron went to work, Hermione went to clean up their room. On her pillow, she saw a small package. She tore of the messy wrapping, and her eyes widened. A look of comprehension crossed them, and they filled with tears.
There, in the soft tissue, was the ornament swan Ron had ordered.
