Soar

It was a cold chilly night, it gave her chills as she wrote the note and against the soft rustling of the trees. Usually it would calm her, but not now...now, she just had to get out of the wretched neighbourhood, away, as far as she could. She packed the last of her belonging. The memories of the place where she grew up, here, in the dead of the night under the stars but also living a nightmare she couldn't escape until now. Music sheets, old photos, her cinema uniform. A snowglobe, a beautiful pair of earring she knew she would never wear, and a few sheets of paper with things written on it engraved deep into her heart, so that she would never forget. As she put the last of her past into the suitcase filled with some clothing and money, she bid the room goodbye, knowing her presence would not be there any longer and savouring the moment. She left the note on the coutertop, embarking on a new part of her life, a new milestone.

She ran, out of the small cramped apartment before he got back...the tall grass was long and had grown to the height of her knees. After a few minutes of running, she stopped and looked back. The wind blew her hair backin the direction she came from, almost like it was beckoning her to go back. She suddenly felt torn between two directions, one part of her just wanted to be free from it all, yet the other still cling to what used to be. Then she reminded herself why she was leaving in the first place, no, she had to go, it was the only way.

She rans as fast as she could to the bus stop. If she missed the bus, she would be doomed. After waiting about 10 minutes, the bus finally came. She hoped on and gave the driver her money.

Inside the bus there were few people. Two elderly women were chatting aimlessly with grocery bags by their feet. Another was sitting alone listening to his iPod and another person with many piercing and a mohawk was sitting alone in the back.

"Do you mind if I sit here?" The boy looked up and shook his head. She took a seat next to her. There were a few moments of silence and then the boy asked her where she was headed. " Alberquerque, New Mexico" He simply noded and said he was travelling even farther than her. Gradually, they become friends, in the short time of five hours. He was really different from what he appeared to be at first. They were never really talked about their personal life but they did have something in common. They were both leaving home.

By the time she was there, she hoped that she would see him again, and wished him best of luck. She had to get a taxi ride as well until she finally got to the place she was looking for. It was a small house, although it seemed cozy, like there was a happy family in there. She took a deep breathe and knocked on the door three times. After a minute or so the door opened.

(A/N: Please review! Is it bad? I only wrote it in 40 minutes and its super short! So yeah, if it's bad I can deal with it. )
