Notes: Inspired by the quote "I was lost from the day I was born".
Lost
I was lost from the day I was born,
Ne'er feeling joy in a bright summer morn,
Nor seeing the brightness of early sunrise.
Never see beauty of cold shining stars,
Nor look for a face in the moon,
Or listen for voices in the wind.
A perfect machine, a soldier unflawed,
No thoughts, no emotions,
A crackless stone wall.
Obeying orders, questioning none,
Killing, destroying, all for him,
My father, my trainer, my king.
Then we met, alone on the hill,
Stealing then running away,
But then haunted by that face.
Met again, working together,
Always watching him,
Talking, laughing, running child.
Wall showing cracks,
Light shining through,
Child relentless, like pneumatic drill.
War over, wall crumbling,
New emotions showing through,
Love, hate, friendship, confusion.
Years on,
Boys grown old,
Marriage, children, and Him.
Braided baka, American fool,
Long hair, violet eyes,
Keeper of a heart not his.
Joyous Death,
Asian Angel,
Two halves of one whole.
One heart, two bodies,
Forever bound,
Forever together,
Forever free.
