Ashley got another drink as Reid left to go to the bathroom. The case had been really tough and she was pretty damn sure she wasn't going to get any sleep tonight. A woman sat next to her in Reid's recently vacated seat. She almost said something but decided not to be rude, there was another seat on the other side of her anyway. The woman ordered a drink and looked at Ashley.

"Rough day huh?"

"How'd you guess?" Ashley asked the stranger. Odd considering she thought she'd been pretty good at hiding her emotions.

"I'm good at reading people," she said with a shrug.

"Well you're definitely better at it than I am. And I'm supposed to be a trainee profiler…" she half muttered bitterly.

"FBI huh?"

"Yeah…" she answered.

"Behavioral Analysis Unit?"

That guess took Ashley by surprise so she merely nodded.

"I know what it's like. When you start out its so exciting and you look forward to getting called in to help somebody, it's such a rush. But after a little bit it starts to get to you. It eats away at you and soon you can only see the horrors of your job when you close your eyes. You feel like there's no good in the world. Take some advice from me kid, quit while your ahead," she finished her drink and got up just as Reid was halfway there. His eyes were wide in shock as the woman took one look at him.

"And I don't just mean the FBI," she said as she headed away.

"Elle!" Reid called out, "Elle WAIT!"

But she was already out the door.
